Singapore loves Italian food, and the city state is famous as a crossroads when it comes to Asian and European cuisines. And this special restaurant, Aglio Olio, is a perfect example of the Little Red Dot’s ability to mix and match, forge and fuse new interpretations of old and time-honoured culinary traditions. Though the name would suggest it, it wouldn’t be fair to call Aglio Olio an Italian restaurant. Rather, this is an Italian fusion restaurant, where venerable classics of the European genre are infused with inimitable Southeast Asian and Singaporean flavours, colours and textures. Here in Chinatown, at Aglio Olio’s China Square Central location (there’s another outlet in Shenton), on the Pickering Street side close to Raffles Place, you can sample the famous fusion pasta dishes that have made this restaurant’s reputation a household name among foodies.
This was my 2nd visit to the restaurant. Their menu quite a variety of choices. The waitresses are friendly & tried their best to attend to every customers' needs & queries even at peak busy lunch hrs. I like the pink sauce for seafood pasta. It also have set dinner for 2 persons with drinks included & price reasonable. Consider quiet & relax place for dining & have a glass of beer or wine during chatting. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends.
