Great service! We ordered Lobster Linguine, beef steak and sticky date pudding for dessert! They were all yummy! Portion for Linguine could have been slightly bigger though.

Great food, generous portions for the pasta. Awesome sticky date pudding, must try! Kind and attentive waitresses, not to mention near to outram park mrt, accessible

The food is nice & definitely worth the price! Ambience is good n not too noisy like Populus which at the other end of the street. And reservation at Quandoo help us to beat the queue, thankew!

Went there for a dinner date and enjoyed the food tremendously. The staff were excellent and the decor was cool. I have no hesitation in recommending the place.

Service was impeccable. Thank you for your attentiveness and ensuring our experience a comfortable one. The food was however forgettable. The fish and chip batter was thick and bland, only with covering the entire bite with the sauce it tasted better. The portion for the beef was too small and mushy. A neighborhood eatery might have offered a more flavorful dish for a better price. We believe there's much room for improvement.

We ordered the following 1) pork chop with kale salad 2) fish and chips 3) roasted kampong chicken 4) steak with fries 5) truffle pasta 6) Rosti 7) truffle fries 8) sticky date pudding the food was great! 8/10. we enjoyed their homemade ketchup and chilli sauce. however,the truffle fries barely had a hint of truffle at all. portions were all good! service was prompt. also love their weekend brunches. will return!

We actually ended up going earlier than our reservation time but the staff was kind enough to accommodate us. Service was great, food was even better, and the sticky date pudding is to die for. I'd definitely go back again.

I had a great time! the service was really good; the waitress was fun and interactive, she made us feel welcomed and at home. I really love the warm atmosphere. I ordered the crispy pork belly, and it was cooked just right, I just thought that maybe the portion could be a little more. overall, I had a great experience!

The live parfeit was nice and the lobster linguine was cook to perfection. It was a place worth checking out with decent food. The serving were fairly generous

All their main courses are nice! Would recomend to all my friends definitely :) could be better if added more variety of dessert, overall a very nice place for dinner and gathering.

food was fairly good . however the roasted chicken could be more tender . overall was still a good place to chill and dine in

Good food and good sized portions! Only downside was that at 9.30pm, clean up started (switching lights on and off etc) and felt a bit rushed and felt like we had to leave asap. Regardless, we will return but will reserve earlier in the evening.

I have always liked the Lokal, for the ambience and the generally great food. A downer was that they discontinued their draft beers - I really liked the Asahi Dark they used to have on tap.

Food was great, drinks were ok but service was excellent. Try the cauliflower three ways, sirloin, slipper lobster linguine and sticky toffee date pudding - everything was well above average

Lokal serves very decent food although the price is slightly expensive for the quality on offer. Service is quick and good, ambience was great and location is easy to find.

service was great! attentive waitress.. thou we didn't get to recommend her directly. But she was very attentive towards our dinning experience there. Thou the food may be slightly on the pricey side, but it really taste good! Especially the chicken dish was tender and juicy! Worth the $ spent.

Awesome cosy place to chill out with a very welcoming vibe.. great service, really friendly staff... not much food options but every item on the menu tastes really really good. Would definitely come back more often in future!!

I expected more variety from the dinner menu, preferred their breakfast/ brunch menu to dinner menu. Overall was a pretty good experience, highlight was the sticky date pudding👍🏼

Great and high quality food. If you are interested in German food which is not pork knuckle or Curry Wurst this restaurant is a must! The service is amazing and the Chef Max is excellent host. We love it.

The food is excellent. But our seat is behind the column and it's difficult for the waitresses to see us and if they could be a little bit more attentive to these hidden clients it would be great but anyway the hospitality quality is at international standard.

Nice ambience, and the food was good. Went there for dinner, and ordered the Slipper Lobster Linguine & Cape Grim Sirloin Tagliata. Good place to chill with friends.

The food was brilliant, the same as the previous times when I dined there. The seating arrangement was slightly awkward but that was a minor issue.

The Lokal is a place where you can hang out with friends on weekday evenings and not worry about hogging the seats for too long. Fish and chips and slipper lobster linguine was great, with the seafood very fresh. Chocolate rum moouse with caramelised banana was nice too!

Even though The Lokal is more known for its brunch, dinner turned out surprisingly good. The sirloin beef was very good, while the kampong chicken tasted much better than it sounded.

Food was nice and I love the fish and chips and roasted pork. Ambience was really nice and homely. Service staff were friendly and cheerful. Would be happy to come back again.

I dined there for dinner last week and honestly find it overall quite a disappointing experience. I was expecting quite a bit when I went there because of all the reviews I read about but it felt like an overrated expensive dinner which I didn't throughly enjoy. The lobster bread with curly fries wasn't on the menu for dinner and I didn't know it would only be available for lunch. I'll say compared to the lunch menu, the dinner's one is just soso. Nonetheless, I think the ambience of the entire cafe was really good and it's ideal for couples who wanna spend their night in a romantic and cosy cafe.

Overall, quirky nice venue which for night dining could benefit from lower lighting to add to the ambiance and décor of the space. Staff and head Chef wonderfully attentive and friendly and food well presented. Make sure to book the cosy corner table for two with dual cushy bench seating at the back. ;-)

The food and dessert were good and delicious and the server was friendly. Nice environment though the space a bit small and need to go once finish dinner and not hang around. Overall a pleasant experience

Great food - Everything made in-house, very atypical of cafes in Singapore. But this is really no ordinary cafe anyway. Highly recommend the Cauliflower starter. How can cauliflower even taste THIS good?

Very friendly and welcoming restaurant. Dinner served is above average although serving size can be a bit larger and alcohol should be priced slightly cheaper.

Booking through quandoo was really convenient! Easily made my reservation through online form and whole experience was smooth and quick! Service at the restaurant was great too! Recommended :D

Great food and service! Reservation is necessary as the restaurant is quite crowded on weekends. Slightly pricier as compared to other cafes but the quality of the food is totally worth it. Highly recommended.

having come from a certain direction, i totally missed the signboard... took me a while to find the place.. but when i did... oo... food was yum. espresso martini. OMG OMG OMG drools.. service... good. .. there is this sweetheart of a waitress :) i can't remember her name though... she made the evening better :) i'm heading back... i so wanna try the sticky date pudding..

Second time there, this time for dinner and the food was pretty good although dinner prices are a bit pricey. Staff were friendly. Great value with entertainer offer though.

Very good service. The two waiters were very polite and friendly. Food was excellent. Recommend the beef on hot stone and lamb shank. Their lava cake was amazing too
