The Clan Restaurant

Good ambience as the restaurant is not overally crowded during weekdays. Had an anniversary celebration for dinner and the staff greeted me by the name when I turned up (Thumbs up for this). Will be back again.

Welcomed by the staff from the moment we stepped in. Staff are very friendly in recommending their food in the menu. Excellent service and nice cosy ambience. Quality of food superb. Serving of food is pretty fast. Will definitely patronise again.

The service and food is vy good. Just that the next dish took longer than expected to come. But it is not a matter if you are not in a hurry.

Visited this place almost 2 years ago, standards have dropped although not much has changed in the menu. Prices have also increased by at least 30%. They don't serve water anymore but instead charge $6 for a bottle of still water.

It seems like the service crew changes rather frequent. With each change of crew, attention to detail drops a little. For example, there used to be sorbets in between courses to cleanse the palate. Some practices are retained, eg suggesting we begin the chef's starter from the right but not explaining why and what to look out for in taste (this was done during my first visit which helped enrich the experience). overall, food was okay. For some dishes, it looks better than it tastes (the chocolate lava was not lava. nothing flowed and was more of a molten chocolate cake) but all dishes were paired with the sauces and garnishes quite well. whatever was on the plate had a purpose and it wasn't put there just to make the dish look pretty. 7/10 for the food. 8.5/10 when inside clan restaurant (the building itself sort of spoils the overall experience). Generally quiet and lots of privacy if seated in the far corners. 8/10 for service. Despite all I said, I can see that they are trying under what it seems to be another new management.

Good food. Good service. Nice ambience. Great experience as always! Our fav restaurant which never fails us. Location is pretty convenient too. Definitely worth a visit!

I've been celebrating my anniversary at clan restaurant for the 3Rd time. Nothing has changed except the location. The standard of the food, service of the crews were great.

Both the service and food is good. The waiter is very friendly and attentive. The food is nice especially the ginseng chicken soup. Worth a try.

lovely experience; attentive service staff. food was amazing. just a pity about their new location that's all which really didn't gel with the concept. but otherwise, i had a a lovely evening out with my partner who equally enjoyed the experience.

The dinning experience is wonderful, attentive service crew and superb food. Definitely will visit this place again. One good place to celebrate your special moment.

The food and overall ambience was good, however, the portions were small (as expected for 'fine' dining) and I'm not a big eater in the first place but I was barely full by the end of it. My boyfriend proclaimed himself 40% full hahaha. We used the American Express card for 50% off alacarte items (same as the set menu but individual items are more expensive). We had two appetizers, two soups, two mains, and one dessert between the two of us. The appetizers we had were the kurobuta pork belly and the herb-crusted escargots. Both were wonderful, maybe costing about $16-18 on the alacarte menu (can't remember correctly apologies!). We had the cepes mushroom soup and seafood bisque. I felt that the mushroom soup's flavour was fantastic, but it could be a bit creamier. My boyfriend loved the seafood bisque. The soups were $12 each. For mains, we chose the sliced beef on hot lava stone, and the kurobuta pork belly. The mains were $32 each if I remember correctly. The beef was very good (if slightly gimmicky), and I felt that it could be warmer. The pork belly was very good, but the portion was on the small side. It was served with a 63 degrees celcius egg yolk that my boyfriend enjoyed. For dessert, we had the chocolate lava cake with homemade gelato ($16?) It was small-portioned and nothing to shout about. However, I'd like to commend our waiter who was very attentive. While serving our chocolate lava cake, he asked if my boyfriend and I were celebrating any special occasion (which we were - our anniversary). He then surprised us with another dessert (chocolate truffle cake) with chocolate writing on the plate, which was a beautiful end to our night :)

First time visiting the Clan after it shifted to POMO. Atmosphere is a big upgrade compared to when it was previously at Outram area. Was informed by them that the chef will be changed end of the month. Not sure how the food will turn out.

Quite pleasant. But the food is more ex and no more free water. Waiters were friendly and allowed us to make special arrangement. Not bad overall

A fusion restaurant which served ala-carte and set meals. We ordered 6-course set dinner. Food was cooked well and served nicely. Portion was just nice for my husband and me. It may not be enough if you eat big portion normally. It doesnt provide water free. It serves natural water from France at a cost. Ambience was ok. Staff were friendly.

the alaskan king crab left a really deep impression of really good flavor, whereas the other dishes feels normal just slightly above average. i had the fish and pork for my partner, and the flavor overall are nice but not leaving a deep impression that i hope it would give me. But i would still think they did a pretty good job.

Food is fantastic. Service is good but got room for improvement. E.g. One of the dish on menu is not available. We could have been told when the waiter brought us to our seat rather than only knowing it when we try to order it.

This is my second visit to this restaurant. They have better atmosphere at this new venue. As usual Excellent food , reasonable price. Service crew were marvellous.

Prompt service with good food served in the course menu for one person. Choice of selection for each course was sufficient. The setting of the restaurant seems to be a bit lacking.

I didn't give a full star review cause the whole dining experiment was slightly affected by the extremely audible conversations by the chef by the kitchen counter. My partner and I could clearly hear orders being given by the chef to his colleagues. Besides this, my first trip to The Clan was amazing. The food was extremely good, just as I imagined. The staff were friendly too, which contributed to the positive dining experience. Not a wallet friendly experience, however. I doubt I will frequent The Clan but only for special occasions.

Great experience. Most of dishes are quite good except for the pork belly one. Pork belly is really dry. I like octopus and beef most.

Great food - a very good blend of French and Japanese cuisine - every course was well presented, unique in the kind of flavours it brought together and good portions.

Food is good, although small portions, but by the time we reached desserts, we were bursting at our seams.. Must try: appetiser: beef carpaccio, seafood bisque, cod fish (mains)

various choices in each course and quite nice atmosphere. polite waiters, delicious food and I think it's value for money. I want to visit here once a month.

Though the waiting time for each dish may be slightly long, but it is worth the wait when you get to eat such tasty food, which was served in great presentation. If waiter was more engaging, i think the experience would be more memorable.

Service was very slow on a Tuesday evening when the restaurant was not even full. I've highlighted multiple times that we were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and asked if there would be complimentary cake. I called in the afternoon and staff confirmed they would prepare hence I didn't buy a cake there. However, it did not happen. The poor service dragged the dinner with unbearable wait in between the dishes.. I mentioned to the staff during payment that there was no cake provided despite my calls. However the staff was not apologetic at all. Would not recommend this place given the price doesn't justify the service provided. Food was just so-so

Although the food was excellent, the restaurant refuses to serve table water and instead only serves bottled water. I went with a child and when the breadsticks at the table were finished, I asked for a couple more for my 4 year old. Again, they wanted to charge for this. Although the amount of money for both are comparatively minuscule to the cost of the meal, the amount of goodwill lost is definitely not worth it!

Music played was a bit fast. Other than that, ambient was good, food was worth the price. Will surely be back again for the goodies.

I like the privacy provided by the restaurant. The six course menu showed their best dishes. Services were friendly and quick. It is a good place to celebrate anniversary!

The staff is very attentive and the enviornment was quiet, location was great. The decor was simple but elegant and we got a "window" seat! Food can be a tad slight salty for my eldest sis but ok for me. Portion was small enough for one person. Its a set menu with different items from each category eg cold dish/appetitiser, main and dessert to choose from one each. Prices were a tad above average but the presentation was almost work of art. Fusion courses makes this restaurant quite unique. Will definitely recommend and go again!

Food and ambience at the clan were fantastic. Price was reasonable and service was quick. Will definitely pay another visit to the clan in the future.

The food was great and unique. The ambience was great. The staffs were very attentive and well trained. The whole experience was value for money.

Food is alright for the price. The cod fish is quite good. Not a fan of creme brûlée but the creme brûlée here is nice. Quite place.

My sister and I visited them for lunch and the staff provided wonderful service. The food was delicious and portions were just right. Great ambience too

Nice Ambience and good food. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Food came in decent portions and we were delighted that the service staff offered little finger food, dessert and a drink for my toddler. That kept him occupied and we all could enjoy the dinner :)

5 Courses meal at 3 course price , main dish can be better thou. side dishes , dessert are awesome . Great services , good for special days

service was good and they had made an arrangement for my wife who was having her birthday that day. Staff were attentive as they noticed my wife did not like the soup and they made the arrangement to change the soup

I used to frequent the Clan back in the Bukit Pasoh But I think your standards dropped THe creme Brulee was much better last time ANd I felt that your oyster was not that fresh that day

I like the ambience and services. Waiters are nice. Was there to celebrate my boyfriend birthday. My boyfriend like the place. Food wise not too bad. I like the dessert chocolate lava.

My husband and I had the lobster bisque, truffle mushroom soup and wagyu beef (x2). Food was only mediocre for the prices. Not value for money.

Nice ambience, attentiveservice and great food. We had a pleasant surprise of a 20% discount with my Amex card that starts with 3762! Same discount if U hv dthe Palette card.

Very good! It's even better if you have Amex Platinum credit card to pay your bill. It gives you 50% discount (for 2 persons) if you order 2 main dishes!

only appetizer is awesome. other course is normal. soup is salty. hair was found in my main course and nothing was done. nothing special unless order 6 course for the cold dish

Food was impeccable as usual. Forest mushroom soup was delicious. Capellini was a delight on the palate. The desserts were sinful on the waistline. Service staff was unfortunately a bit lacking in attention.

Ordered the 6 course dinner menu. Most if not all of the food are great. The duck confit was served with the right temperature, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The staff are also very attentive. Making recommendations on the food choices, how they should be eaten and making sure every we had a good dinner experience.
