Suki-Ya - Heartland Mall Kovan

Nice dinner. Simple and complete spread. Good broth. Table setting not to condusive for big gathering. Atsmosphere quite ok. Not too noisy and busy where buffet dinner is served.

The variety is very limited. We felt very warm sitting at one corner. Refill of soup is slow. Overall, VERY disapointed. I don't think I will go again.

Pleased with the soup and meat but service can be improved on.

Staff were initially disorganised after the post-lunch rush - no drinks available, no plates to pick up food. But eventually they managed to pick up.

The food was adequate and taste-wise it was ok too, But it would have been better if the restaurant provided more variety of food for customers to choose from.

The Meat served was fresh and the service was prompt... The only downside was the time given was too short at 80minutes... Nonetheless, will return in the future for round 2...

good food good seating. Worth another trip to kovan heartland mall sukiya. Much better than other location of the same brand. The varieties of food can still improve

Service was pleasant, except for the part while settling the bill after the meal, as it was advertised on their website for the weekday lunch time buffet, however the cashier did not automatically accord the promotional discount to the customer until being prompted to do so. They had initially intended to charge the original buffet pricing. Just feel that staffs should be aware of the promotional discounts & accord directly to customers without being prompted.

Good meat, good sauce, good soup, good experience. The table is a bit small though, but we will be coming back for more of this.

Wish there was more variety at the buffet table. Mostly steamboat item and only lettuce. Enjoyed the broth that we cooked in though, but by 8pm, desert of chocolate cakes was gone and there was no refill.

There wasn't a variety of food, and there were frozen vegetables Pork tonkotsu soup base was awesome Staff don't come around often to refill soup base though

I was about to be late for the reservation time. I made a call and they held the table for us for 15 mins. The whole experience is great.

Chicken was not available for the day of visit and not forgetting the soft served ice cream that was not available too. The soup base that i took was either too bland or salty. After finishing the initiate soup base that i have, tried the laksa soup base which was equally bad, in fact it was worse than a regular soup base, because it was literally close to drinking chilli oil instead of the laksa flavour. Not even worth visiting anymore. If i could even rate it as 0 star, i definitely would.

The food was great. However service was not good. The servers preferred to stand around and joke rather than work. Items like desserts ran out quickly and we're not refilled. When we wanted to refill soup we had to call them a few times before it was done. There we're definitely enough staff but very few of them actually working. At one point the cook/ someone from the kitchen came to help us refill the soup. Don't know what the servers are doing.

Months ago , they do provide ice cream from the ice cream machine and if i didnt remember wrongly , there are other stuff to choose from behind counter. But last week i went , the ice cream machine gone. It become those take n go , chocolate , coconut and green tea. Seem like there are lesser choices available and kind of boring.

good service, nice music. overall, the food choices are sufficient and fresh, new noodles added to the menu. drinks are free flow, so are the meat and vegetables and eggs and noodles and rice. love to go back again.

The waitress and waiter were very nice, they even helped out for the surprise that we were giving the birthday babies. Will go there as a big group again!

Service was prompt and service staff was patient with our enquires. It would be good if they have informed of the 80mins restriction before start of buffet.

Pretty average. Not at all crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Rice was hard, service ok. Had Kim chi and pork soup; heavy on the salt.

Quieter than Plaza Sing's outlet. Kinda sad that they took away the ice cream component of the buffet lunch. At least the student price ($12.90++) made it worth it.

Clean restaurant, fresh food items very neatly and nicely presented. Smooth and fast service, self-help counter for drinks and food items other than meat. Thus, very convenient for diners and food items are always topped up.

Good Service staff, especially Ms Pessie. Refill soup and food very quickly and ensure you have sufficient attention. Enjoyable dinner experience for family with desserts.

I read the reviews and mostly were bad. Was hesitant to go for the buffet at first. However I decided to give it a try as there is a 1 for 1 promo going on. I went to kovan branch today at 12.40 It was not pack and we were served with a sit within 1 min. The food we requested came promptly. Service is ok. Not as bad the review I read. The variety of the food is limited. But what do you expect if you are paying about $12 per pax for 60 min?? If you were to ask me if I will go again? Yes. If there is a promo going on.

we got our seat immediately without any waiting. One of the staff introduced membership card which was quite worth it for us. The only unhappy thing was with the other staff that reminded us that we only left with 5min. We requested for another plate of meat. She seems to unwilling to give us and told us that we only left with 5min.

Lack of vegetables variety to choose from. Was quite disappointed as the staff were slow to respond even when its not very crowded. Hope for better service at Kovan.

Seems to be quite short staffed during the afternoon. Waited for quite a while to located the staffs to top up the soup for us, which makes it quite frustrating as we were only given 60mins for the buffet.

Plates and bowls not clean. Stubborn stains found on spoon. Makes me suspect if the restaurant washes the culteries or not. Overall, still a great deal considering lunch for 2pax only $20++

A lot of staff were there but no one take the order for my table for around 30 mins. All the stuff were standing at the counter area.

Went there on a weekday, the place wasn't very crowded. Service was great. It was generally a good place, it will be better if there is more variety, meat was fresh.

A very cost place to chill with friends, food wise is average. Food replenishing is fast, but missing my favorite udon. Service is a little slow as they never bother to refill the soups in the pot.

My colleagues and I had a great lunch at Sukiya (Kovan). Really value for money with thee OCBC 1-for-1 deal! Will definitely patronise Sukiya again.

The best part about the restaurant is that the staff are very helpful. The restaurant needs to increase the range of food stuff. There are only a few types of veg and food comprise mainly the fish balls, seafood balls, cheese balls. overall, I gave it a high rating because of good staff attitude.

I arrived earlier than my boyfriend for dinner so I went up to ask if my reservation was made (paranoid oops), the manager said yes and invited me to take a seat inside first while waiting. When we didn't have enough cash on hand and the place didn't accept NETS payment, the manager didn't even complain outwardly and agreed to wait while I stayed behind and my boyfriend went to withdraw money from an ATM nearby. The waiters were a bit slow though, but I guess it's fine because I believe it must have been busy and it seemed like they were short on staff. Overall good service! Two thumbs up for that!

Service crew Mah Li Li is polite. Despite of the large crowd, she still attend to our requests as quick as possible. Keep up the good work! Good job!

Too little selection of food and the clearness of the place too dirty, as the plates are not clean. Lastly, is we waited at outside for a long time but no one at the counter.

The choices of food items seemed to be a bit limited. However, it was not crowded. Thus it could be a conducive place for small groups and cosy gathering.

The restaurant staff are prompt in removing your empty dishes. Food served are nice and there are premium options with a small fee. Soup options are nice and delicious.
