Not happy that they advertised lobster by 100 gm and only had 1.2 kg lobster but expensive

Foods are good, seafood very fresh, big serving and nice scenery👍👍👍

Service good but food not at my expectations, Meat over cook very hard, fish and crab not so bad

We ate at Seafood by the River located on Boat Quay, Singapore. We began with a couple of Tiger beers. We ordered several of their specials: the Singapore Streetfood Tasting Platter, the Salted Egg Slipper Lobster plate and the Salted Egg Calamari. We also ordered Fried Rice with shrimp. First to come were the Salted Egg Calamari. These were delicious. They were in a light batter, cooked perfectly and came with a slightly spicy dipping sauce. The calamari were succulent and tasty, and the sauce enhanced the flavor. The fried rice arrived in short order, replete with several whole shrimp on top. The rice was fluffy and tasty. Next, they served the Salted Egg Slipper Lobsters. They were about the size of Langostinos, split length wise. These were tasty, but not as good as the Salted Egg Calamari. Lastly the Singapore Streetfood Tasting Platter arrived. It was nicely plated with a lobster head and body filled with cold lobster, a variety of small pieces of fruit and what looked like large roe. The roe was in fact a small sphere filled with a very lightly citrus flavored liquid in a soft gelatin ball. The lobster was good and the balls fun with a nice flavor bump to the lobster. Also on the platter were more calamari, fish balls, spring rolls, fish or crab rolls, deep fried crab cakes. There was also a dipping sauce. Overall, we felt the Singapore Streetfood Tasting Platter while good, was not anything special and probably not worth the price. The service was extremely attentive and if anything, a bit too hovering throughout the meal. Value wise I did not feel this was competitive with other similar restaurants, and did not like the fact that the Slipper Lobster was up charged from what was stated in the menu, nor the additional charge for the two “Wet Tissues” that were placed on the table when we ordered.

The food was good. However, the prices were very high, not a single Singaporean in the restaurant, I guess they know better. My biggest problem was. I was explicit about my salt and MSG allergy. When the food came it tasted salty, and I sent it back, and they returned it, assuring me that there was no salt or MSG. Three hours later. My blood pressure was up 40 points. And I was popping BP medicine. Very irresponsible in my view. Again the food was good. But not worth it at the risk of my health.

We booked online and requested a table right by the waters edge, which we got so enjoyed nice views of the historic buildings across the river and down to the Fullerton Hotel. Great cocktails to start with. Lovely Chinese meal with Pekingese duck pancakes, egg fried rice, chicken sweet and sour and peppered beef. Staff very friendly, good service and very reasonable prices.

Crabs are overpriced and way overcooked. There is only one size and it happens to be the biggest and most expensive. Host tends to try to get you to order Alaska king crab. We saw a couple left after they finished their drinks because the hostess kept trying to sell Alaska king crab. If you want affordable crabs without the hassle, go to Lau Pa Sat.

There is a value for many set lunch menu. This place serves Thai food. The food is reasonable tasty. Hard to find a meal below $10 in a venue like that.

Well we ordered an Alaskan Chilli Crab, 3.6kg live, beautiful. The host calculated the cost & showed me her price on cellphone as $98 Sing $$. We had a bottle of wine, & shared the crab - it was delicious. When we asked for the chit she came & asked for $1162 Sing$. Honestly we were blown away, 1 crab admittedly good size & a bottle of chard - $1162 Sing - you have got to be pulling my wool!! Anyway due to a thunderstorm during the eating etc & our negotiation we settled for quite a bit less. Honestly we’ve eaten in high end Japanese restaurants in Las Vegas & only paid $1100 with high level dining! WTF be careful in Singapore

Desserts were fully not good and a few orders came out wrong. Food was well overpriced for its standard.

Great table with view overlooking water at Boat Quay- and lucked out as it was the rehearsal for the Singapore Day celebrations so experienced flyovers, light show and also fireworks - Had a great night - thanks

Poor and slow service. Waited for 90 minutes and still didn't get all the dishes we ordered.

Food was superb and in generous portions. Tasty and good ambience with attentive servers. Pricey but overall worth for the experience

All aspects are meeting expectation, but the apple crumble left 4 plates only instead of 5 due to fast selling dish during set lunch time.

The lunch set meal price and portion are quite reasonable

Staff didn't tell us that the portions were medium for all, and we ended up spending almost $500 for 3 pax, definitely a bit too pricey and wouldn't really recommend for the quality of food.

Entering to the restaurant is hassle-free. We had ordered the seafood tomato pasta, pineapple fried egg rice with chicken floss, fried calamari with salted egg sauce and also a pot of osmanthus honey lemon flowet tea. All the food tasted quite good, with the river view and sudden short fireworks...haha. the visit was quite good! Will bring another friend to come 1 day

The waiting time after ordering was very long and had to constantly check on our order.

Went with 3 of my colleagues. Western menu seem more popular here than local or Japanese menu. The portion was quite generous and we liked the lunch deal of 5.90 for a bottle of beer.
