Good service. Good spread of food and wine options. Great for a catch up with friends.

Food was alright. Nothing to shout about. Price a little on the high side.

Service is not great - 1 particular staff is a bit rude to customers who have constructive feedback. They seem to give the impression that only they know what food should taste like. Overall food quality is great and good selection of wines.

Restaurant is cozy and packed. Food was not bad but the service staff were too busy to attend to us promptly.

Having visited Roots previously on at least 5 occasions over the past 2 years, I would have to say my experience last night was truly disappointing. Service level had dropped significantly that too me by surprise. The staff did not display any warmth nor show any desire to make the visit a memorable one. I will be giving Roots a miss for now.

Sat outdoors, nice ambience. Dips were yummy, ordered the Margherita Pizza which was nice.

If you are a frequent customer of Mediterranean restaurants in Singapore, maybe you can put this restaurant as a last priority unless you must have Mediterranean food that day and cannot get any tables elsewhere. The food variety is the only positive point about this restaurant but the food quality is nothing to shout about. What is most lacking is the service. Service is COLD. I went on a Saturday evening with a reservation at 5.30pm. When we were dining, there were only 2 tables of customers, including ours. When i left at 7pm, the restaurant was not even filled. I’m not sure what is the excuse for the poor service, for sure it’s not the crowd. There were no welcome when you enter and no thank you when the payment receipt was passed to you. I requested for a birthday treat for a friend and the waiter was quick to highlight I have to pay for the cake when I wasn’t even expect any thing complimentary. I ordered a lava cake. The cake came with a candle and was just placed on the table. It was just 2 of us and the waiter clearly knows it’s a birthday treat, is it SO difficult to even say happy birthday? This is such a stark difference from the Mediterranean restaurants at Dempsey and Tiong Bahru which shine in both hospitality and food quality.

We were there to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Great food and service. Highly recommended!
