The ambience and food are nice! Thai delicious! Will recommend it to friends!
Food tasted very average. I expected more for the price they charge..
Good atmosphere and service but the food was a little pricey
One of the place in Singapore that you can find the finest Thai cuisine. Although it is a bit pricey but the food is well worth the money. Nicely cook from fresh ingredients. Not forget to mention about the very good service from the waiters.
The ambience is nice for gathering. The clear tom yam soup is abit salty. The lamb rack is nice but abit salty too, but with the sweet glutinous rice give a just nice feeling.
Location is convenient Love the ambience as it’s not overly “fine dining” but comfortable enough with family and close friends. Food is served in perfect portion and the taste is not compromised with the correct tinge is spice, lime, or sweetness. Our server did an excellent job - he is one of those that comes without you knowing and does not interrupt conversations while bringing dishes or clearing empty plates. We came a few times prior to this and the experience is still great! Food standard is consistently good. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Fantastic food! Service was impeccable, the pork cheek salad was my personal favourite. My guests loved the lamb rack too. Suitable for both family and corporate luncheons!
Average food and the worst service i have seen in a while and high prices. Best to avoid. It is in no way a fine dining restaurant.
Last visit was some 10 years ago. After last night, remembered why it had been so - only good were the starters & salads... mains were a let down, and overall, over price.
Dinner set menu quite ok but ala carte menu a bit over price I feel Taste acceptable but service has room for improvement (ie; staff busy with their own things, not pay attention to the customers)
There is a lot of hidden conditions for choosing ala carte premium buffet and free flow wine. I was shocked but did not protest because my guests were there. Why can't you just offer a standard buffet for guests to help themselves to the food. Nothing is hidden -- what they see is what they can have. The standard of food has actually gone down over the years. The place need to be spruced up. It looks so drab even during the festive season. The waiter were unwilling to explain. The guys look at you from the corner of their eyes as though you can't afford the meal. I didn't feel welcomed. Asked me to sign up for a dining card -- please forget it !
The food was amazing, service was a little spotty but over all it was a great experience. I went with a bunch of people who have been there before and we all had a great time.
Good and great service. Had their executive set lunch. Prawn green curry was good. The chicken in the soup was a bit chewy. Otherwise, everything else was great. Highly recommended.
This place is a gem, with terrific food and very good service. The only complaint is that portions are small, so if you have a party of 4 or 5, you need to order double of each dish as the portions are made for only two persons. A meal for 4 will cost you about $200, which is a bit on the high side.
Slow service - I supposed we ordered set lunch and that not worth their service.. Food - horrible, the worst Thai food I ever had.. NO fine dining standard at all in this restaurant.
Great ambience for a business dinner, friendly, good & quick service, authentic & exquisite Thai cuisine! A great place to bring my overseas visiors to savour a great Thai meal.
Service staff quite attentive altho a little short handed. Food is good. The vermicelli in claypot is a little salty. Both beef items were good.
Nice place. Will return again. Nice staff. Good food. Quiet and nicely decorated. One of the best Thai food in sg. Friends all love it
Dinner is a lot more expensive than lunch with mains at the high end of $20s and $30s. The atmosphere is fine dining, with table cloths and linen, with very comfortable tables and cushioned benches for 2 and the food is very nicely presented. There are enough service staff and they are well spoken and polite. The food was tasty and a cut above. The only disappointment was the dessert platter for $22 There were just 2each of 2 types of bite sized Thai desserts ( Durian cake and Red Ruby), 2 scoops of ice cream and a few pieces of melons. The desserts were not really remarkable enough to justify the high price.
Wonderful cuisine in the finest of establishments. Cosy atmosphere & very good service. Pleasant ambience for business meetings. Will definitely return to try their buffet on another occasion.
The place is quiet and simple. The staff very friendly and helpful. I had an excellent chicken green curry :-) there is also a wide selection of wines. Reccomended for a relaxing dinner.
Cozy restaurant with nice romantic ambience. Great for quiet meetings. Food was delicious. Ordered the mango salad, basil chicken and asparagus. Portions were decent and presentation was good.
Good service. Pleasant ambience. We had a nice rice dinner for five adults and a toddler. Desserts (red ruby, mango sticky rice) were also quite good.
Staff were excellent especially Mary. They were attentive at all times and they gave my friends and I a very nice table at the corner. The food was flavourful and the prices were reasonable for a fine dining Thai restaurant. The only exception was the tom yum soup which at $12 for a small bowl would be considered on the pricey side. Will definitely return !
Attentive service. They serve us plates for sharing of our desserts although we did not ask so. Quality food, on top of that, they are willing to accommodate changes based on our requests, for example less spicy, change from iced drink to hot drink. nice atmosphere.
Go for the Ala Carte Buffet, We found that the Stir Fried Beef and the Thai Fish Cakes were the highlights. The other dishes were not exactly exceptional. Chicken dishes were tender, **Be prepared for lots of coconut tasting dishes, Also note that the dessert dishes weren't great. ++Service was excellent.
Food is still delightful but service standards seem to have dropped perhaps due to a shortage of staff. Portions remain small so if sharing among friends, you neef to order more dishes.
great service, ambience and food was delicious! had a awesome time celebrating mother's day with my family at patara fine thai cuisine! will definitely return :)
Unfortunately my reservation on Quandoo wasn't reflected in the restaurant's reservation register. I had to show proof of reservation through Quandoo's confirmation email before I was led to a table.
Food was good but nothing outstanding in terms of service and presentation. They claim fine dining and then don't change your fork after each dish.
Food was quite nice - soft shell crab and mango salad entree was the best dish. The restaurant seemed understaffed for a Saturday night so service was slow. Short on supplies of beer - no Tiger beer left! A nice enough neighbourhood restaurant but as with most Singapore dining experiences the cost seemed out of step with the offering.
I went to this place for a farewell with my colleagues. I am impress by the service they provide and they are constantly looking out for their customers even they are quite understaffed. Quality of food is good for fine dining. Ambience is awesome, presentable for a corporate setting.
Food and service was excellent. Ambience was good. Spoilt by the next table guest who was talking far too loudly .. such a pity and the manager didn't bother to do anything
Nice cosy place. Perfect for a quiet lunch and couples. Food is awesome but can be bigger portions. Service was pretty prompt. Will come again.
The ambiance was serene & lovely. The staff had a pleasant attitude & helpful. The wine and spirits were good and not very expensive. Tried a few starters & dishes and were good. Overall the visit was worth every dollar spent.
Great place for authentic thai cuisine. Friendly and attentive wait staff. The dishes tend to be quite spicy though, so great for spice lovers but for those that can't handle the heat, have to be a bit more selective.
We had a great meal. It was a business dinner and the food was great and the service was attentive. I will return in the future.
We love it. My God Daughter from America was nothing but full of praise for the service we received. The food was just great, as usual.
Excellent food and service in this quiet restaurant tucked away in a corner of the third floor at Tanglin Mall. The dishes we tried over two separate visits were all excellent. Unlike many Thai restaurants in Singapore which tend to offer overseasoned dishes, the flavouring here was perfectly balanced and nothing was too sweet or salty. The menu offerings are also more interesting than what's usually found at other Thai restaurants. Dishes such as "Goong Sarong" (Spice-marinated golden-fried prawns wrapped in crispy filo pastry, served with pineapple and pickled cucumber salad), Nua Yanf Jim Jaew (Grilled Australian 300 days grain-fed beef tenderloin served with spicy tamarind sauce are delicious, and the Chor Muang appetiser is another stunning dish, with dumplings crafted into flower shapes coloured blue and stuffed with caramelised chicken, sweet turnip and peanut filling, and topped with coconut cream reduction. Service is professional and very pleasant and the decor is elegant and stylish. This is a gem of a place and my only hesitation about giving them a great review is that it might make the place more crowded and harder to get reservations!
I was satisfied with the portion size and the test of food. Service was bit slow in bringing the food but very fast in learning the plates even though dish was not completely finished
Service was good but staff need to be trained to be able to speak more fluent English. Food was ok but not fine fine enough
Lost reservation. Service was poor difficult to get any attention
Curry chicken dish was salty. Disappointed with the dessert platter. Luckily compensated buy the mango with sticky rice. Lovely ambience n service staff was great !
Service is slow, understaff, service staff is very rude. Food quality has deteriorated, everything was too salty, lost the authentic Thai cuisine taste. Will never go back , not worth the money spent, overpriced for the quality of food
Food was served cold or lukewarm (soup and beef). Beef was overdone. Papaya salad was limp and was not fresh. Service was ok but would expect it be better for a fine dining establishment.
Patara Thai offers very authentic Thai cuisine which is a rare find in Singapore. Price is on the high side compares to many other Thai restaurants, but is worth it for the quality of food and atmosphere of the restaurant. We will definitely go back again.
Almost all were quite nice. If there is more vegetable menu, seems much better. For the dessert it was authentic. But alcohol it seemed too sweet.
It was nice. Very clean and good atmosphere . We ordered weekly lunch set. It has 3 type. You can choose soon , mains and so on.
Very friendly staff and nice food. Good overall dining experience, except that the staff keeps pushing for the privilege card sign up which can be a little annoying when you want to enjoy your private dinner.
Lovely place for a business lunch - on one end of Orchard Road, but away from the crowds. Food is delicious and beautifully presented-in traditional Thai style. Each individual fruit is beautifully carved! Wait staff attentive and knowledgeable.
