Momma Kong's

Momma Kong's is a small and simple restaurant in the middle of Chinatown. It is highly rated for its Chilli Crab. Our family of 4 had the set menu, the crabmeat was really sweet. If you're not used to getting crabmeat out of crabshell, it is a fairly messy & finicky business, especially if the crab has sauce over it. Paper bibs and lots of paper napkins would have been useful. The lobster was nice, I enjoyed the two dishes of greens, the other dishes were interesting! For the amount of food we got, especially seafood, the set menu seems to be very good value and a good way to try a range of local dishes. As visitors from Australia, we found dining at Momma Kong's a novel experience but not the type of meal we would seek out again, crab is too messy!

Good quality seafood at reasonable prices. Butter crab, Chilli crab, and crab in bee Hoon soup was good. It's not the best but still good. Would definitely be back again!

Chili crab and butter sauce crayfish were amazing. Everything is delicious. The team at the restaurant is very friendly. We had a wonderful experience. Excellent!!!

Portion is very little, quantity not as stipulated. Butter crab is very watery and taste like milk. Crabs are small and very stingy with chilli crab and butter crab sauces. Would not go back there again

The Crab noddle soup was great! However, we feel that the chilli crab sauce was a little too watery and there is also not much meat. The butter crayfish was delicious but again there was not much meat and that cost us $33. We also ordered the bbq sting ray and find the over taste was rather bland. Service was great and the turnaround for all the food ordered was pretty fast.

Service was great and chili crab sensational. A must visit for any one visiting Singapore. We had the four person banquet and could not eat it all.

Crab bee hoon is very delicious, place is small but clean and cozy. Sambal veggi is really spicy which is my all time favourite! Will definitely come again~

Momma Kong's serves great food in a nice and relaxed atmosphere with good and friendly service. Their Chilli crab is great and is definitely worth a try.

Yummy but pricey. We could only be there for 2 hours due to their seating times, so I would advise to get there on time.

The crab noodle soup was lovely, crab was fresh and soup was sweet. The grilled squid was nice too. Will come back for seconds. :)

Disappointed that we were told when we got there that the smaller crab wasn't available. Had to ask for more water to drink at the table. Overall quite disappointing

The crabs are nice! Love the butter crab and the gravy. My friends loved the chilli crab too! Stingray tasted wonderful as well! Just that price are slightly expensive

Good service. Very fresh crab. Choose the pepper crab if you like your gravy a little spicy. The red crab sauce is way too mild and you may not care for the flavor.

Fresh crabs & attentive staffs, white pepper wasn't spicy at all which is good for my Daughter who can't take spicy :) each table has a complimentary pic which will be posted on their tv & a print to bring home 👍

The food was below average and over priced, it also took over an hour for one of the dishes to get to the table. Would not recommend this place.

This restaurant Momma Kong's is always reliable for great food. Especially love the crab bee hoon soup! Highly recommended for anyone who loves crabs! Thumbs up!

The restaurant was very good about gluten-free. The chili crab had some gluten in the chili paste so i could not have that. But I had the white pepper crab and it was great. The sauce was amazing. I also had some succulent chinese spinach. All around a great experience.

Very good chili crab, fresh and just right amount of chili, ginger. Excellent fried mantou. Service smart, quick, attentive except for waitress who just grabbed the extra utensils over our heads without so much as an' excuse me'! Not the fault of the restaurant but a large, noisy table spoit the pleasant ambience so diners might want to come earlier to avoid groups like these or sit outside, despite the heat. Photo with the bill nice touch, good memories!

the food and service was excellent! go for the crab beehoon soup, whether it's the shelled or deshelled portion, the soup was wonderful! might go back for more!

Its my second visit to the restaurant. Need i say more about how I'd love to be back to get my crab cravings fixed? A lil disappointed with the squid/sotong side dish though. The serving portion and the presentation of the dish was rather pathetic.

They serve good quality sri lanka crab. The fried mantou is crispy on the outside and so soft inside. Good for dipping with the chilli crab.

Really enjoyed the food, the crabs were very fresh and the crayfish was delish! Small place which was cozy but could be quite noisy at time. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends!

We did not enjoy it. The food lacked flavour and portions too small to justify price right next to Chinatown. The beers were not cold enough.

Cost little place with excellent service and great food! Well worth the price. Momma Kong's will now be my go-to chilli crab place for bringing friends from abroad!

Super tasty crab and a great range of good accompanying dishes. Quick, cheerful and efficient service. Unpretentious and clean setting. A big more pricey than places in Chinatown food street (about $50++) for a crab, but a lot more focussed on the crab too. There seemed to be a nice combination of tourists and locals there, not too busy on a Thursday evening around 8 pm.

The restaurant is perhaps not most visually stunning, but the food is amazing. Would definitely recommend the set menu they have, as both the butter crayfish and the chili crab are superb. Will definitely come here the next time I am in Singapore.

crabs are really fresh! love their butter crab. its a must try! not forgetting to get their mantou which goes along well with the sauce.

Good service. Could have used bigger tables for my party of six, but otherwise no complaints. Loved the food as well. Thanks for a great night!

Food was delicious and service friendly and accurate. We ordered the set for 2 and I think we could have fed 4 with it. But all of good quality and we really enjoyed our stay.

The service was great! The table is ready when we arrived slightly earlier than scheduled. The guys helped us take photos, took one for their own and gave us a copy. Food was however not as great as the reviews. They were left with only the small crabs by 8ishpm. The bee hoon was the best, white pepper ok, chilli crab gravy too diluted and a tad too sweet for our liking. Sting ray and bean sprouts were bad.

This is a must try in Singapore. Reservation is easy and the food is good! We tried the black pepper crab and it was worth it!

Service is good, food is delicious and serving time is fast! They even took our photo reference, print it out and gave it to us as gift. Will definitely come back again!!

Excellent food and great service as usual. My favourite place for crabs. The grilled crab and crab bee hoon are divine. So are the spam and tofu chips. Highly recommended

Clean restaurant. Delicious crabs. Pretty easy to find. I like that they take a photo of you at your dinner and give you a print out.

Their butter crab and bee hoon soup are what keeps me coming back but everything else is tasty too! The staff are also very attentive, good casual vibe for a casual night out with friends! :D

Have not been here for almost 2 yrs and surprisingly the standard is still there. Have always love the crab bee hoon for it's flavorful & sweet broth. Staffs is observant too, always clearing the shell's bin when it's full without having you to call for them to do so.

Friendly staff and very attentive to meet our needs. Crabs and Man tou are yummy. It would be good that they can offer more finger food variety and kids friendly food as well.

Amazing food. The butter crab and the red chilli crab were the best flavours I have tasted in a long time. Great service. A little pricey though.

The aircon was rather weak, resulting in the restaurant being a little too stuffy. When we requested to lower the temperature of the aircon, the waiter advised that it would cause the aircon to leak. The food quality is average but was too pricey. The restaurant can be more flexible to meet customers' requested. When we requested for more chilli crab gravy as it was insufficient, our request was rejected.

Worth the price if you opt for upsize the crab. Prefer steam bun. Luncheon meat chips is abit too salty. Overall is good and reasonable.

Conveniently located near Chinatown Station, a good place if you are looking for a variety of crabs to share with a small group of friends.

Delicious! Was absolutely wonderful and service is amazing! I had made a mistake with my reservation and they did the best to accommodate me! So glad since we had a most enjoyable evening!

Love the Chilli crab and garlic prawns! The stingray and the sambal used was spot-in as well! Definitely a place to visit for crab lovers.

Awesome 🦀🦀🦀 We had the black pepper crabs and butter crab which was still spicy. Not cheap, $12-14 beers?? but we all enjoyed the crabs

Great food, great ambience. I've friends who refuses to leave SG if he doesn't get to come here. Lots of variety for every guest. Walks in are almost impossible, reservations are needed during peak hours and weekends.
