had a hearty meal lunch! the beef rendang is excellent and pairs nicely with the yellow rice from the nasi lemak set. dessert was a tad disappointing - the buboh cha cha isn't as fragrant imho due to insufficient coconut milk used. overall, a satisfying meal. a revisit is on the cards :)

We tried the Assam Curry Fish Head but can’t try other dishes as we are rather small eaters. The curry sauce is not too bad but the fish is not fresh. Therefore we don’t like the fishy smell. The vegetables added were too little. I would suggest more garnishings to make the pot look more appealing too. Garnishings in term of more vegetables would be great.

Ivins Peranakan restaurant serves tasty peranakan dishes at reasonable prices. Their set menu is value for money. Have eaten at different Ivins outlets a few times with family and friends and they said dishes are tasty though the varieties may be a little limited. Eating at Ivins is never disappointed.

We ordered the family meal which consisted of Ayam buah keluak, Babi Ponteh, fried pomfret, chap chye, fuyong egg. All were delicious and satisfying. Even the desserts were good except for chendol which is disappointing as the red beans were hard. Will be back for more.
