Hopscotch, with its slightly obscure location nestled away in the heart of Gillman Barracks, prides itself on its innovative Singaporean inspired cocktail menu. Dropped by on a friday night and the place was bustling with its indoor and outdoor area (perfect on a cool night) packed. They were in the midst of a menu refresh where both the food and drinks menu were in soft launch phase. Although we didn't have much expectations of the food, both the ribeye steak and the beef burger held their own and considering the price point were very well executed! For the drinks, we could certainly get the vibes of how they tried to incorporate Singaporean elements into their drinks taking influences from our rich heritage and culture. We were particularly impressed by the Garden City Sling and the Tipsy Nonya where not only did the presentation stand out, the drinks were tasty as well. Really love the vibes (and playlist!!) and the food and drinks from this place. Awesome well-rounded bar if only the location was slightly more convenient, we would definitely be back weekly!

First time my friends and I visited this restaurant. Very happy with the service even though the place was full on a Thursday night. Loved the $15 happy hour cocktail and the restaurant was really nice and came round to ask if we had any last happy hour orders before happy hour ended.

Bartenders are cool and friendly and the food is decent

Outdoor ambience is nice but we get quite alot of mosquito bites. Food portion a bit too little for guys. Overall, nice experience and good services from the service crews.

food took really long to come. cocktails were all fun and interesting but nothing amazing taste wise. my steak also came well done and dry when I ordered medium so that's bad.

Super good and tasty crafted cocktails. Very creative and yet it doesn't break your bank. Food is good but if portion is bigger will be better. Have always been one of my hang out spots.

The staff were very wonderful to accommodate my requests. Place was a little small but cosy. Food was above average in general.

Made a 2nd trip to try the ribs since it was sold out the first time we visited. It was worth it! We also enjoyed the skewers and lobster bisque! Service was good and prompt too.

Food was absolutely mediocre. But can’t say the same for the cocktails. Amazing flavour mixes in localised and non-traditional concoctions by their mixologists.

Waiters were constantly messing up and/or forgetting orders! Disorganised and poor system. Thank god for the two bartenders who could run the place and make interesting cocktails to make up for the lacklustre everything else.

Was allocated outdoor seatings as we have a crowd of 9pax. There was slight drizzle halfway but when we queried with the staffs if they have any contingencies plan, they simply ignored us. Luckily the drizzling stopped after a short moment. The outlet was clearly understaffed as they have only 2 waiters serving a large crowd of customers. We had to wait for 20 mins before the drinks we ordered were being served. The restaurant could have done better in resource planning. The food was also salty. Overall, it was a bad experiences and I would not want to revisit this restaurant again.

All good but smoking in outdoor area, as indoor space is limited, was not to our liking ..... would have stayed longer if not for the smoke. But great music!

Indoor sitting tables are too way small and narrow for 4 pax. Even with my reservation made, table isn't ready for us.

Great ambience and good vibe. The servers were ok though I feel the company should train their new staff so they know their food better (eg. They don't know how many pieces in a skewer, don't know much about the beef brisket, don't know about the beers). Food was a hit and miss. Truffle fries, karaage and chicken wings were good. Burnt ends and the mushroom risotto was a portion size fit for a baby. Burnt ends were not really burnt ends - can't really make out what it was. Mushroom risotto was flavourful. Skewer items were not bad.

The high tables are unstable. On rainy days, there is not enough shelter
