2nd visit to this branch. Came in a group of 5. Generally food here is better than the Capitol branch. Soups were very disappointing - watery mushroom and lobster bisque, served in rather small coffee cups. Meat dishes were great - beef, ribs, lamb. Cocktails were also unique and fun to try! Kudos to the service personnel who remembered each individual drink order! Atmosphere is lively but just too dark - can’t see our food when it gets late.

I love their cocktails always innovative, they used to have weekday happy hour promotion before 8pm we get cheaper cocktail at lower price but they seem to change their menu this year when i last visited and no more happy hour price.

Average in terms of food taste. Cocktails range are wide and special. Lack of manpower. A few waiters and waitresses need to cover tables that spread across the whole area. Required some time for each request, although they have done their best. Dark, struggled to see what I was eating.

We ordered a Hendrick’s Gin and Tonic and a Coke Zero for our drinks, and went with went with the XO Sticky Back Ribs and the Black Garlic Ribeye Steak for our mains. Shortly after we ordered, the staff came back to tell us that the waiting time for the food was going to be an hour which took us slightly aback, so we ordered a starter of onion rings, which they were nice enough to bring out in 10 minutes. The portion of the onion rings was generous to take care of two adult diners as we waited for our mains. The drinks came out soon after. They do have a happy hour; the Hendrick’s G&T is a premium pour. Our mains came out — not after an hour, but after 30 minutes — which all things considered, was a good outcome. The steak led the way. It was well prepared medium rare and presented tastefully on a flat, slate platter with a garlic mash and a mushroom ragout. The ribs came out a few minutes later. They were cooked beautifully – slightly crispy on the outside, and the meat fell off the bone with very little effort. It was slightly sweet without being overwhelmingly so. It was served with prawn crackers and Nonya achaar with a peanut sauce. Portions were generous. Hopscotch offers a nice place to dine when visiting the Gillman Barracks. Their alfresco area is huge and is dog friendly (we saw a table with a large dog). They keep their music at a decent level. Their service staff are friendly and attentive. This is a good place to have dinner after a tour of the barracks, particularly on a nice evening.

lamb ribs were very flavourful and cocktails we had were interesting. my partner's eyes lit up when she tasted the chilli crab pasta 👍🏻

Ideal place to chill out with friends for couple of beers

Was recommended by a friend and walked past the restaurant on numerous occasions to the barracks so I would have to visit Hopscotch some day. The beef, chicken and portobello mushrooms were really good but portions were small. The place was busy and food was served only after more than half an hour. Overall the food and drinks were pricey, even after a 1-for-1 main course deal.

My fave place for a chill dinner with good food, atmosphere and cocktails.

Food arrived 1.5 hours after ordering, no one informed us that it'll be that late when we placed our orders. Worst, simple drinks (draught pints) took almost 45min to 1 hour to arrive, and we have once cocktail that took 2 hours to be served. A server approached us at one point asking to double confirm our orders (an hour after placing them) as they claim "someone" input some orders wrongly. Geez.

It was a cool space to just pass time and chill. The conceot is pretty interesting but when it rains, there is absence of a good system in place. would still return tho.
