georges - Changi (Seafix)

We had a group of 8. The restaurant was not too busy during our time of visit so we really enjoyed the quiet time. Food wise, some dishes took a long time to arrive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we had a fun time.

The seaview is the main selling point for this restaurant. Food varieties are good, both western and local.

1st time at the restaurant. The beach side was pleasant although the restaurant looked a bit tired. The food was ok.

The view was beautiful and relaxing. Nice place to chill. I will give full marks (5/5) for the view & ambience. We ordered fish head curry. Compared to Coachman , the curry fish head was bland, lack umami and curry flavour. We were disappointed. I would give 2/5 for the taste of fish head curry .

Rolex demonstrated good service level and we will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Great sea view.

Have been there many times, food is good and ambience is great

For a Yacht Club Main restaurant the table arrangement is quite poor. Previous operator had tablecloths and tables laid with knives and forks etc. Georges is basic, not at all as it should be. I ordered Mushroom soup, what I got was a grey mush that did not resemble mushrooms in any way whatsoever. The spoon was correct, a "Soup" spoon, so marks for that. My guests had Local dishes that were acceptable. Deserts are limited, but acceptable. On previous occasion, I ordered Fish and Chips, it was terrible, the batter on the fish was like "leather", supposed to be crispy, un edible. Not impressed, only the view warrants a visit, the food, no. I can't see Georges staying with this performance.

Thoughtful staff - enjoyed our visit and will be back again soon.

Beautiful seaside restaurant with a calming breeze and boats in the water. The rice and carb dishes were humongous and great for sharing. Request a seaside table if available.

Food was nice. But pricy considering the portion for L size dishes is not really up to our expectation. Lady staff was nice n helpful.

Went with family of 6 (3 kids and 3 adults) and had their fried rice , satay , mee goreng , fried baby squid , George’s chicken wings , beef with ginger and onion , kids fish and chips and fish maw soup . The service was good and the food came out fresh and hot . Special yums given to fish maw soup and the satay . The view was great and my kids had a great time. Pricing is reasonable for the food . Great place to bring your date .

We took the lunch set meal for 3-5 pax. Everything is good and my clients throughly enjoyed it. Very good customer service too. Thanks to all the staff there. Its my go to place for business lunch.

Nice atmosphere as expected with views of the channel and Ubin. Not too busy during the weekday lunch time. Staff helped me to have a balcony seat. Was initially disappointed that the menu changed (on that day no less) to a ‘new’ George’s menu - not the more extensive menu shown on their website. Unfortunately the new menu is rubbish for vegetarians - only the token agiolio pasta… else it is snack items like fried onion rings or chips. However, the venue has an additional Chinese restaurant menu, and the staff were helpful and offered me a ‘local’ Chinese curry instead (or another token item ‘fried rice’). I was relieved! The curry tasted good and filled me up. My friend (not a vegetarian) enjoyed their fish. Overall I was pleased with the outcome and glad to have used this venue for lunch. However I think they would do well to improve the options for vegetarians because it’s hard to be a repeat customer if there is only one real dish on the menu.

It is a beautiful place and food is decent . Service staff seems pretty inexperienced . Eg I asked what time is the restaurant closed and she replied I don’t know instead of going to find out and replying in a more positive manner

It was Mother’s Day and my family had been to George’s Pasir Ris Beach a few times and like the food. We decided to try George’s @ Changi Sailing Club thinking the food will be good too. But food was bad. Lamb shank, & ribs we ordered came out cold on the inside, it seemed they were cooked very early and left out for too long and served to customers. Fries too were cold and limp. Besides the food being served cold, ribs were tough, cold and not seasoned, lamb shank was but cold. Fish and chips was hot but was bland and seemed like it wasn’t seasoned. To give the staff credit, they didn’t question us and took the dishes back to reheat and gave us a new set of fries but all our dishes (except for lamb shank) had fries and all were limp and cold and they only replaced one. Only thing that we enjoyed was the Georges Burger. I suppose their Chinese food will be better since we see most customers ordered but this experience we had was disappointing.
