FBG - Fat Belly

Pretty good value as we redeemed a Burpple 1 for 1 deal. Booking was made through Quandoo which was straight forward and easy. We had the 8 course Taster Menu at Fat Belly and my … it was so gooood. The bite size starters and consommé soup really set us up for the other dishes. All the dishes were well chosen, balanced and tasty. Our favorites has to be the The Bikini (Homemade Wagyu Bak Kwa, Moroccan spice and Emmental cheese. Its like kaya toast but 100X tastier as the blend of cheese and wagyu beef just melts in your mouth. Next is the mains, the Tri Tip which is Auskobe Wagyu Marblewith burnt shallots, smoked mushrooms. How good was that ! Overall, terrific food, friendly service and fun dining. Highly recommended !

The steaks are amazing for this price! Will definitely go back again to try the other types of steaks!

Food was good but was not advised that we only have the table for 2 hours. Rushed through our last course.

Great food but need to expand menu to include non wagyu cuts if possible. The service staff were friendly and excellent! We had a wonderful time :)

Some hits some miss, average steakhouse. Nothing fantastic, service was so so as well.

Tasty steaks and sides at reasonable prices. However sides came out before steaks. Would be nice to have a couple more choices for mains besides just pork and rabbit.

The wait staff were wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable. The fries we had were a bit overcooked and dry and the pork belly was dry and tasteless. But the onglet steak was beautiful, full of flavour and very tender.

The new Experience Menu exceeded my expectations, and is even better than the old! Went on a Friday night with a total of six pax and got our own table. Unfortunately the one blemish on our experience that night was the service staff who informed us that the table had to be given up for the next group. She could have been more polite, and waited till we were done with our dessert.

Steak was okay but the restaurant was very small, not conducive.

Had a good time. Like the appetitizer. Beef too done for medium. Good service staff.

place was pretty cramped and a bit hot. wanted to switch seats but staff said it was too troublesome, didn't appreciate that she didn't even try and in the end the whole place also wasn't filled.

Friendly staff and nice food! Very popular so better make reservation before going.

The sauce should be complementary as the pricing to me does not match the quality if it. The rest are all good!

We did not have much time for dinner and needed to leave by a certain time. The staff was very understanding about it, assured us that it was no problem, and delivered each dish very promptly. Great job!

Wonderful experience. Sat at the Bar table, but didn't felt squeezy or anything.

We had the onion veloute for starter, wagyu rump cap and wagyu deckle mains, creamed kale and mushroom for the sides, sticky date pudding and burnt cheesecake for dessert. With the exception of the mushroom (mediocre), everything was outstanding. The real stars of the show were the steak and the veloute. Skip the sauce for the steaks if you really like beef.

my wife and i shared the deckle steak, which was juicy and wonderful! we had the baked camembert cheese too, and the hazelnut sprinkled on top added quite a surprise to the cheese! although we need to share the table, overall we had a delightingful time there!

Service was prompt, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the 8-course tasting menu!

Used the 7 Course Burpple Beyond 1 for 1 meal, flavours are pretty interesting. Love their desserts most!

We had the @burpple 1-for-1 Tasting Menu set. My favourite items were the: Beef broth - which was light & fragrant Savoury Tart - Love! 😍 ShortRibs - tasty & tender As for the main, Wagyu Marble score 4-5 Tri-tip, was well cooked, tender & juicy but a tad too chewy for us. The mashed potato on the side was delish! 🤤 We each top-up $5 for a different dessert. Tiramisu was nice, but some parts were a little frozen and the ladyfinger was not soft enough but that’s just my personal preference. 😛 Burnt Cheesecake was quite good too but better to share it as it might get a little too heavy after a hearty meal. Thank you for candle on the cake 🤗 Overall It was not bad. But I think the customers might feel more welcome if the chefs are friendlier & interacts with those sitting at the counter seats.

The 7 course meal was wonderful! Fat Belly has excellent service, and the food was worth the price!

Food was good, sides were better. To me the deckle steak had abit too much sinew in the bite, maybe its that particular cut? Overall would come back again to try the tasting menu. Service maybe they were shorthand for that day.

Advance reservations. VFM with Burpple Beyond. Great food. Service was okay but they didn't get the hint when I asked to bring out the birthday cake 😅

The food was good, but considering the list price of $80 for a set meal, the serving size was really small. The main was a 150g steak of good quality- beefy, tasty, juicy. The remaining sides and starters of the set meal was really little, although most of them were rich and flavourful. there was no complimentary bread. Big eaters can top it up with some creamed kale (which were amazing the last time i tried) and salad.

Service was a little challenged but the great attitudes and friendliness of the service staff more than made up for it. Impressed by the food & we’ll be back!

Great place to chill and enjoy great food. Steak , entree , desserts were excellent. Location is not near town and usual night spots making it ideal with no traffic and parking challenges! Michael

Food was not as expected and quite bland. And because we were sitting at the bar seat, u can see clear into the kitchen. The chef and cooks were slacking around waiting for time to pass as the shop were not busy. They were not wearing any gloves while preparing food, it is still fine by me except that they were touching their handphone with the same hand they are touching the food. I expected better quality food and service but it was a major turndown specially if I spend almost $200.

Food and service were great, understand that there's limited space, sharing tables was rather the downside for smaller pax reservation.
