No frills Indian food. Worth it for the food, but not the service or ambience.
Excellent kerela food with good service. Worth going. Price is reasonable.
Swaadhisht is a great outlet if you are looking for some authentic Kerala food! Great taste and nice ambience...will visit again soon.
Good Kerala food. The Briyani was excellent and they served good pappadums
Goat briyani is sublime. Excellent food at an under the radar location.
Great authentic Malayalee food. The mutton puttu and chicken biryani in the bamboo was awesome!
Food was great, authentic and tasty - service even better ! Definitely a place we are going to come back again !
Great and Tasty Food for affordable prices. Nice and cosy Restaurant with good service.
Ambiance n service is reasonable but food was great. Could not have famous Kerala fish Karimin as import is currently banned by Govt.
Delicious Kerala dum briyanis, friendly service, pleasant ambience. Credit cards accepted.
I ordered the mutton biryani and lassi. The biryani was tasty and good but price could be a little on the high side. It was a great experience but I feel, given the same price, you could get better biryani elsewhere
Great place. Ordered the butter chicken masala, garlic naan and mutton briyani. The naan was really delicious! The butter chicken masala was quite a small portion and it was quite expensive. The briyani was great too. Will be better if they could serve bigger portions
Nice authentic North Indian cuisine. Naan goes well with curry.
Lovely place, one of my favourites. Specializes in Malabar cuisine. Their Thalassery biryanis are a little out of the ordinary. Puzzlingly they are buried deep in the menu, but for me it is the must-order dish, whether as a single one-dish meal, or as one of different sharing portions with a group of friends.
Great authentic Kerala food. If you are looking for delicious and authentic Kerala food, this is the place for you. If you prioritise ambience of the place, this may not be the place for you
Service and food was really good. Taste suites local. Their prata was really special and side dishes are all very generous.
We were there on a week night, the restaurant was not crowded. We order the mutton dum biryani, butter chicken, pomfret fish and appam for 2pax. I had the mango lassi. The bill was ~$45 We had to wait a bit for the food as it was only cooked when you place your order. Food was pretty decent and portions were more than enough for 2 persons.
Good Kerala food. Thalassery Biriyani is the highlight along with Appam and Mutton Sree.
It’s all about the briyani here! It’s made to order and will come to you piping hot. The taste is superb; it’s light and not heavily-spiced. The basmati rice is cooked to perfection and the chicken in it is simply tender. One of the best briyanis I have tasted.
this is a nice place for curry and the food is great , the only thing is that it is located off the main road, but i had no problem locating the place
Really great food and very cosy ambiance! Could have better beer collection.
Food is very mediocre and ambiance quite sad! It has a very run down feel and I wouldn't say that the food is very tasty or authentic either.
The restaurant was closed for the day. Luckily I got a respond from the restaurant. Perhaps you can block out those days they are closed.
The restaurant gets filled towards the later part of the night. Come early for a quiter experience. The tables are spaced quite closely so it's a bit cosy. Enough about the premise. Food - awesome. Never disappoints. The briyani is one of the best I've had. Only critique is the variety of dishes is limited but what they lack in quantity they make up for in quality - in leaps and bounds. Service- The manager and servers were always courteous and polite but be ready to wait a little for your food.
Excellent goat biryani comprises generous portions of meat cooked with either basmati or jeera chamba rice - and Kerala's unique spices, of course. Accompanied with a tall glass of lime juice, there's no need to order anything else.
Every time I ate there or did catering for function at my home it was always a great experience. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was always two thumps up! Finished every grain as all dishes were great. Great job guys!
Very poor experience. I pointed out that the lighting was constantly flickering yet nothing done to replace faulty bulbs. If you are light sensitive stay away. Service was poor with order taken incorrectly causing us to all receive our meals separately. Also failed to clear any plates or clean table at any time. No napkins offered. Plenty of employees walking around doing absolutely nothing! No apologies or even a good bye offered. Stay well away from this place.
The best goat briyani, ever - whether with basmati or jeeraka rice! When filled with patrons, the ensuring din from multiple simultaneous conversations can make Swaadhisht less than ideal for business lunches. So, go somewhere else and leave me to my goat briyani.
Quite a few patrons waiting to enter the restaurant. The moment I mentioned I had a Reservation, we were promptly led to our table. Great feeling a reservation makes.
Taste was subtle n not heavy. Gentle on e stomach. Go for the kerala type of cooking dishes. But waiting time can be n should b shorten. Maybe they should look into having a bigger kitchen n more helpers. Other than the food served is worth another trip.
Really slow service Appam was sour (over fermented, we think) Mutton was tough - We wasted most of it as we could not have it.
This restaurant is one of the best i've been to. Nice athmosphere, nice and fast service and the meal was also very nice. We'll come back.
