Singapore’s Zaffron Kitchen Star Vista is an Indian restaurant and bar with a distinct British-Indian approach to interior design and dishes alike. Decorative purple taupe wood panels and large glass window frames at the entrance make space for a grand entrance, transporting you back to the days of the Raj. As you step inside the restaurant, located in The Star Vista shopping mall (so easily reached from Jurong East station), you will be greeted warmly not only by the staff but by high ceilings decked out with dark waffle-patterned wood and modern chandeliers.
The bar area on the left is one of the most prominent features at this acclaimed Singapore Indian restaurant, consisting of custom-built five-metre-long white marble counter, clad with rustic tiles and adorned with brass pipe foot rest and bar stools that nod to the modern with their chic, industrial design. All the better, considering Zaffron sits in one of Singapore’s most modern malls, The Star Vista at Jurong East. Along the right side of the restaurant, a long banquet seat with a photomontage of Indian life as its backdrop caters to couples looking to chill all the way up to big groups of 30 people enjoying a traditional Indian feast.
