A container themed cafe on Singapore’s Upper Thomson Road, Word Cafe’s industrial chic makes it any Instagramers dream come true, with hanging copper lamps and wooden crates. The menu features everything from light bites to main course dishes, and of course an array of sweet treats. We recommend the chix lollipop, the lock stock seafood pot, the magic mushrooms (deep-fried battered mushrooms), and Word Cafe’s infamous rainbow bagels. Finish off with some red velvet and original pandan churros which come with gula melaka, chocolate and vanilla dipping sauces – yum. To guarantee a table at this Thomson hotspot, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
Very energetic and friendly team. All food are delicious, thumbs up! Recommend Chix and Salmon. The handsome burger (rainbow burger) is a bit over pricing.
Amazing cafe with amazing staff , amazing food, amazing people, amazing ambience and amazing soda! Definitely will come back soon for the food no doubt.
Staff are super friendly. Toilet is super clean. Food (Mother Cluckers) could be more tasty. Calamari is a handful (excellent)! For those who drive, be prepared to wait longer for vacant car park lots. Very limited parking lots.
Good food, slightly expensive. Although located at somewhere rather difficult to reach by MRT(Currently), it would be definitely accessible after the new mrt station is built :)
Service was good, food was great. Magic mushroom is a must try though I was expecting a more generous portion. 6 pieces in that serving for $10. Love the restaurant decor of industrialist chic.
Good food, great service. The burger was brilliant. Mushrooms were outstanding! Carpark space was limited but the situation should improve once the construction clears up.
Mushroom soup was really good, had the steak which was cooked like how I liked it and the mash was just the right texture and consistency. Loved the durian flan.
