Food is salty now compared to before. Even the prawn paste chicken wings not as nice and fragrant as before.
was here again with my family. order the usual fish slice steamboat and some other dishes. the waiters are attentive and the service is top notch. will definitely be back again.
The fish and soup was good. The place is rather cramped.
portion is great but a bit unaccessible if you travel by car. not salty and healthy
Good & yummy. Will come back again when we have cravings.
Been there twice about 5 years before. Rather shocked at how far standards have fallen. Had 4 dishes, only the crab tofu was fairly good though not great. Every other dish else was like Any street corner Zhi char coffee shop but these would have lower price points.
5pm booking is the best either way less people and hence less noisy. Food is great
Food was ok, not fantastic and we thought it was a little bit pricey.
Have been patronizing them for the past 10 yrs and still taste as good as ever!
Famous for its fish head hotpot, and deservedly so! Had the parents’ day set today, which included a hearty dish of braised tofu and seafood. Fantastic for going with rice.
Overall the food was great and service was prompt. Free soup refill and we had at least 3 rounds.
The best fish soup ever! And didn’t feel thirsty after
Good service, food was good. Great for bigger groups. Please make a reservation to reduce wait times.
The food was amazing. We ordered mostly their top 10 recommended. We the the pig trotter, the pork, the tofu, the sotong, the hei chor, green dragon veg, ceral prawn and of course their fish head steamboat. It was indeed wonderful!
Had red garouper steamboat, had cheong wings, a veg n meat roll. Taste wise all ok Only unpleasantness was found strand of hair in first scoop of fish steamboat :(
Nice food , great service. Taste still the same like before
The taste is different from what I remembered. Abit disappointing for me. I was still telling my kids that I always patronize this stall when I was young. Price also increased alot and quality was only ok. Will not visit again.
Nice and Great Tasting Fish steamboat. The Hor fun was nice with “ wok tasting” fragrance
Good quality fish steamboat but can be abit pricey. Staff are friendly and short waiting time for food.
Groupa fish head steamboat consist of fresh and chunky fish meat. Their Xin Zhou bee Hoon has wok hey taste. Very delicious. Their fermented pork belly has way too much fats this time round.
Glad that we made a booking, otherwise will have to queue outside for a table
Excellent place and excellent food. Highly recommended. Rustic taste. Good times.
the service was great. The food were amazing. Overall, worth the money and visit.
It a great place to visit the place again. My only suggestion is for the staffs to ask the customers soon for any soup refill whenever the steam boat soup level is low.
We started at 6pm, less crowded, less noisy. Food is yummy. We requested for soup refill. Fish slices are fresh and good.
Food are nice and fantastic. The fish in the soup is fresh.

This hidden gem on Balestier Road continues to impress with its delicious offerings and vibrant atmosphere. ### Ambiance The restaurant has a reasonable layout that is suitable for family dinners or gatherings with friends. While it may not be overly spacious, it provides a comfortable setting that allows for enjoyable conversations and shared meals. ### Food Quality As a returning customer, I was eager to see if the food would live up to my previous experiences, and it did not disappoint. The fish head steamboat is the star of the show. The broth was rich and flavorful, infused with a perfect blend of spices that complemented the fresh fish head beautifully. Good service and food serve was fast. Fish is fresh and vegetables are in great flavors.
The fish steamboat is just so yummy. So tasty and flavorful, you can tell they take hours to boil their broth Overall the dishes we ordered were delicious too. And great service, the staff continuously checked and refilled the soups without having to keep askong
Great food as usual, not very packed and one of the best fishhead in town.
Unfortunately, had a less-than-ideal experience. While most of the food was fine, some of the grouper we had wasn’t as fresh as expected and had a strong fishy smell. Despite that, we still finished it. However, later that night, I had some discomfort and my partner experienced bloating and indigestion. Considering we paid around $120, it didn’t feel worth it for the overall experience. Hopefully, they can improve on freshness and quality moving forward.
Went to eat during the Chinese New Year period. Unfortunately, they only served set menu during this period. A bit pricey but the food was great as usual. Service was quick and attentive. Will be back for more.
Prices are quite high but food is good. Good for family gatherings
My family love this fish steamboat. The soup is delicious!
Service is very good!! Food too. Family favourite gathering place! 5 stars!
The fishhead steamboat broth is good. So are the dishes.
overall good...will recommend friends and relative to eat at here
I brought my HK relatives to this restaurant and they all enjoyed the food.
Great food! A lot of great dishes to choose from
Repeated visit. Food and quality as good. Small resturant but good atmosphere and friendly
One of our favourite fish head hotpot. With delicious tze char dishes.
Service is good as they helped to top up the fish soup whenever they see that the soup levels are low. Aircon in the restaurant is cold though.
Been here several times, the soup base for the steamboat fish is always very good. Service staff are friendly. However, in previous occasions, the lady hiss always looks snobbish but yesterday’s visit. She was okay
Good food and good service. Parking is convenient as well.
Authentic Teochew cuisine with wide selection of usual favourites. The fish steamboat is a must!
Not bad. The food was served very fast. Service good.
Very good food and atmosphere. Except a bit on the ex side
Excellent food and services. Ordered marmite pork ribs, which was superb! Food was served hot and fast. The pomfret charcoal steamboat was of course heavenly. Best fish soup in SG. Staff was also attentive and refilled soup. Great dining experience. Will be back soon!
It was a weekday and rainy day. It is not crowded and they have top 10 dishes for you to select. It is very clean environment
