Wan He Lou Singapore is where to head for authentic Chinese fare at prices that won’t break the bank. You’ll find Wan He Lou on Maude Road, about equidistant between Lavender and Jalan Besar MRT stations, where the menu is laced with quality and features award-winning dishes like the chef’s signature lobster porridge as well as crocodile soup, salted egg yolk crab and much more. Open for lunch as well as dinner, Wan He Lou Singapore is impossible to miss owing to its gorgeous exterior and an interior that is cosy and always welcoming. This is one not to miss so be sure to reserve ahead of time if you want to snag a table.
You can tell Wan He Lou Singapore is a damn good restaurant before you’ve even stepped through the door. Its bright orange, townhouse-style exterior on Maude Road combined with the wafting aromas of authentic Chinese food mean you’ll be excited to get sat down and get stuck in. Locals of Jalan Besar, Lavender and indeed many other parts of Singapore flock here to enjoy a menu that seems to tell a story with the way it’s laid out, from the ‘temptation beginning’ starters to ‘sweet memories’ as the conclusion.
When visiting Wan He Lou Singapore there’s all sorts to try. There’s plenty of fresh fish and seafood, meat dishes, veggie options and all the Chinese classics you know and love. We love the hokkaido scallop with hawthorne sauce and asparagus, as well as the Wan He Lou signature chicken and the seven-spice pork choplets. For some of the best Chinese cuisine in this glorious part of Singapore, no matter where it is you’re based, look no further than Wan He Lou. You won’t be disappointed.
Had their Lobster Porridge, salted egg lotus & an abalone dish that the staff recommended. Very happy with taste and portion of all dishes. The wine was very good too
The food and service were good. However, the restaurant could be more generous in honouring promotions - for discount on credit cards, the restaurant chose some items and not the whole bill. It leaves a 'not so good taste' at the end.
Seven of us had their lobster porridge lunch set last week with add-ons of olive fried rice, steamed red garoupa and Kurobuta pork. As always, the food was very good and I personally found the olive fried rice to be extra delicious! Leave room for the super yummy coconut pudding dessert served in a coconut shell with vanilla ice-cream topping. Dining at Wan He Lou has always been wonderful and satisfying experience.
food is yummy. lobster porridge nice. crispy lotus root salted egg is unique, love it and vegetable drink must try, recomended. service is good. recomended eating place.
Ordered 2 Quandoo's set consisting of - appetizer, lobster porridge, pork, vegetable and dessert. Lobster about 600-700 gm. Porridge was enough for 3, maybe 4. Nice presentation. Taste good. Good service. Recommended.
Service is good, staff are attentive and very helpful. Lobster rice / soup is tasty and portion reasonable. Other than lobster in the soup, would be good if there are other ingredients too.
