Food quality and service are always spot on here. Plus my golden retriever is happy having a spot next to us when we dine :) Manager always has time to say hello which is lovely. Keep up the awesome job, guys!
Friendly service, good food and love the butterfly pea and lavender lemonade!
Nice ambience and food is great! A friendly environment for family bonding.
always a favourite weekend brunch go-to place, with friendly staff and awesome menu (read: nasi lemak and meesiam!)
We had a good set lunch at W39 Bistro and Bakery on the Friday before Chinese New Year. The soup portion served for the set lunch was rather small and the croutons were soggy when it got to us. But the soup was tasty enough but no bread roll and butter to go with it but that's okay. My main course of Confit of Chicken Leg was excellent and quite a surprise as I normally have Confit of Duck. There were however no carbs served with the confit but just a small portion of corn and beans with a few slices of radish in a cream base. I commented that there should have been a portion of mashed or boiled potatoes as the meal was not filling. My husband had the fish and chips which was good. The set came with a drink; I had ice lemon tea while my husband had hot earl grey tea which was served to him at the start of the meal rather than at the end. We ordered dessert separately as there was a 50% offer and the Ondeh-ondeh cake was both innovative and delicious. I was however really put off with the strong urinal stench in the toilet due to mere neglect to give the toilet bowl a good bleach. I would go back if they will improve on its condition as hygiene is very important especially in a dining environment.
this place is a hidden treasure. The staff are friendly and helpful. The linguine aglio olio was not oily, the prawns were fresh. the pan fried salmon was well prepared. the Unicorn rainbow cake was superb, not too sweet. thumbs up for W39 Bistro & Bakery.
We came by after taking our dog to the dog run and we ordered the Assam Fish and Tumeric Rice, Teriyaki Salmon, Garlic Mash and Crabcakes. The Assam Fish was divine and Teriyaki Salmon (a newly launched dish) was great! The mash was a little bland in terms of flavour but the sauce from the teriyaki salmon dish paired well with it. The server gave my dog a doggy biscuit when he noticed that I have a dog with me, brownie points! Will return again if we are in the area.
Staff were friendly as usual. I went on Sat night which is the busiest time. There were lots of dogs and some toddlers outside so for people who don’t like such atmosphere, it’s better for them to take indoor seats. Evening weather was cooling so there was no issue for us. We ordered fish’s and chips and Prawn Aglio linguine. Fish and chips were alright, linguine was delicious. If you cannot take spicy food, you might want to ask them not to put chili. Oreo cheesecake was so-so.
Food was impressive - we were mindblown! What a pleasant Christmas dinner. Service staff showed great initiative - my mum is vegetarian & can't take the items in the set menu, but the staff checked with chef & offered 4 options. Also, we were pleasantly surprised by a Christmas cookie for my dog & small gift packs for us! A very delightful Christmas day dinner spent at W39!
Went on a Friday. Wasn’t crowded so service was fast. Ordered the Ondeh Ondeh cake and Salted Caramel cake at 30% off during the Happy Hour and a long black which was not to my liking. Cakes were ok. Took a bit of time for the coffee to be served after the cake when there wasn’t many customers. Bill came up to $16.65 and can only pay by cash/nets since it’s below $20. Didn’t know that until the waiter told me during payment.
