Spent a wonderful New Year''s Eve at UsQuBa. The good is fantastic! We loved four out of the five courses. Innovative flavourings and pairings. Wait staff delivered excellent service. Great views over the Marina Bay during the spectacular fireworks display. The sight of two Scottish gentlemen in full kilts were the cherry on this cake!
Made reservations and went for afternoon lunch with few friends. We were informed on the booking confirmation call on the day that they only had 4 course set lunch for the two days and we accepted. The good - Food from entree to main course was fresh and delicious. Starters of scallops and crab cake, the risotto and then main course of lamp chops were top notch. Good food portions and value meal. The not so good - Bread service prior to meal was extremely slow. Nice warm bread, wish we didn't have to wait so ling and ask for it. Across the table, we tried both the dessert options on the menu - tiramisu and panna cotta and these though were very average. Minus the dessert, highly recommend this December lunch menu, and the place for great tasting food prepared with attention.
