There is nothing else in Singapore quite like UsQuBa Grill and Whisky Bar. Sure, it is a sensational fine-dining Raffles Place restaurant, with superb modern European and Asian cuisine expertly prepared and exquisitely presented. What really makes UsQuBa unique, however, is the equal attention and passion they dedicate to the bar, where you’ll find an encyclopedic list of single-malt whiskies, small-batch spirits and craft beers, along with experts to help you select the best match for the food or your mood. UsQuBa have a prime spot at 1 Fullerton Road and tables book out weeks in advance – needless to say, reservations are essential.
Spent a wonderful New Year''s Eve at UsQuBa. The good is fantastic! We loved four out of the five courses. Innovative flavourings and pairings. Wait staff delivered excellent service. Great views over the Marina Bay during the spectacular fireworks display. The sight of two Scottish gentlemen in full kilts were the cherry on this cake!
Made reservations and went for afternoon lunch with few friends. We were informed on the booking confirmation call on the day that they only had 4 course set lunch for the two days and we accepted. The good - Food from entree to main course was fresh and delicious. Starters of scallops and crab cake, the risotto and then main course of lamp chops were top notch. Good food portions and value meal. The not so good - Bread service prior to meal was extremely slow. Nice warm bread, wish we didn't have to wait so ling and ask for it. Across the table, we tried both the dessert options on the menu - tiramisu and panna cotta and these though were very average. Minus the dessert, highly recommend this December lunch menu, and the place for great tasting food prepared with attention.
The place was deserted when we arrived for lunch on a weekday. However the staff were very attentive and efficient and the food was delightful.
Simply put – UsQuBa on Fullerton Road offers one of Singapore’s very best dining experiences. Led by Executive Chef Guven Uyanik, UsQuBa Grill and Whisky Bar serve exceptional modern European cuisine with a strong Asian influence. Uyanik’s resumé is impressive: Demi Chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Claridge’s, Sous Chef at Maze in Mayfair, Head Chef under Thomas Keller at Newport Room in Bermuda, and Executive Head Chef at Vancouver’s much-acclaimed West Restaurant. UsQuBa’s sensational food is only the half of it. Equally impressive is the curated selection of single-malt whiskies, craft beers and artisan spirits you won’t find matched at any of the glitzy bars around Raffles Place.
This is one of Raffles Place’s premier dining destinations whatever the time of day. Fullerton Road’s UsQuBa Grill and Whisky Bar offer brunch, executive lunch, small plates, a la carte and seasonal tasting menus, paired with exquisite single-cask whiskies, as well as desserts and European cheeses. Just a few highlights at this special Singapore restaurant: seared foie gras with hazelnut sauce paired with Dalmore 12 year, Aberdeen angus steak tartare with roasted bone marrow, Pacific tooth fish served over a truffle pork ragout, and Sanchoku wagyu steak off the josper grill served with white truffle butter.
