amazing service and amazing view there, really like every dish that was ordered and the price is okay! definitely go there again
always good as usual.... love food. service seems different though.
Vibe: Beautiful upscale restaurant with lofty ceilings, natural sunlight and ornate decor guaranteed to impress your guests plus sky garden views of the Suntec vicinity. Food: I was amazed by the wide ranging menu and eclectic choices. Highlights include crispy eggplant and yuzu lime bomb. Not the usual dry and sundry cookie cutter restaurant! Cost: Definitely value for money considering the fine dining experience, fresh ingredients, great service even after factoring in the cover charge. Really lives up to its name True Cost!
Celebrated our birthday there was a great experience with good food :)
Very affordable food and delicious too. Unique entrance fee system

This was our 2nd visit to True Cost, with the first being during their soft launch. Many of the issues were fixed from then, and our experience this time was definitely better. Service had improved greatly with what seemed to be with different team members - they were quick and knew about their menu items. They have also revised their “cover charge/entrance fee” with a less convoluted structure which you pay prior to getting seated. The first time we visited we were not told there would be such a charge, and in fact, was not on the bill when it was presented either, but in fact added on after I gave my card without informing me of the discrepancy, which was basically fraud but I couldn’t be bothered to argue then. With the food, we had a very bad experience with the eggplant previously, but when we noticed the different preparation, we decided to give it another shot. No regrets. It was tender and packed with flavor, though it was rather greasy unfortunately. The Heh Style Scallops, Tuna Crudo and Beef Tartare were really good - scallops were really fresh and plump, the tuna was refreshingly delicious, while the beef was paired perfectly with the unagi mousse in the dish. The Bone Marrow was not done very well, and could use with plenty more time in the broiler/oven. It’s also served with pita bread, which really isn’t the ideal base to have bone marrow with - instead, should’ve been a bread like a baguette or sourdough loaf that would be able to property soak and retain the bone marrow. The main dish Salmon had been modified and unfortunately I preferred the previous rendition. There was way too much cream in the dish and was much too over for my liking. The sprinkling of tobiko also doesn’t pair well with the dish and was definitely a way to inflate the dish’s price. The drinks here were a real, real letdown. While the prices are really low on the menu, the alcohol content also seems to be. Between the 3 of us we had almost 20+ cocktails, yet we didn’t even feel a buzz leaving the restaurant. The drinks were also all spirit forward so other than the fact that the drinks might have been watered down, I really can’t find another reason. The space is tastefully fitted with a contemporary design direction and thanks to the large floor to ceiling windows that look out into the Marina Center and Civic District, gives the restaurant a very open feel with great views. In summary, the kitchen team is still lacking a lot technically and conceptually, but the fresh ingredients really boost the dishes. Wines are priced averagely and certainly not “true cost” while cocktails are just an absolute disaster and we will stay far away from them in the future. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Would I return? Perhaps, but only with a friend who hasn’t been to show them something different.
Nice view and the food was good and value for money!
Nice views and the food was great and value for money!
Nice environment. Waitress is friendly and has amazing memory. Able to rem what we ordered without writing.
We enjoyed the food and the ambiance was lovely too.
love the bone marrow, something really special! beef was done the way we wanted too. there's a cover charge of $10++ per pax, food prices were relatively low, service was great
Great place! Food were good! Friendly staff. Food served were fast. But could slow down on serving the mains as we had few appetisers. Everything served almost the same time. 1st visit here so next time I will inform the staff to slow down on the mains. Will be back again. Price affordable and reasonable!
Too hot in the daytime but seems to have a nice gathering for drinks at night.
Second time here, food was good with really friendly service staff!
