Overall great vibes, live music were good, oysters were fresh. Truly very vibey!

We had an okay time here. The music was a bit too loud, but the resident singer sang well.

Not as good as Tipsy Flamingo but it still has some of the Tipsy atmosphere. Sunday evening at 6pm is quite quiet and less crowded.

This place surprised me with the quality food it serves! Dishes that worth mentioning are: Mala Chicken Karaage, Mala Stingray, fish and chips and the oysters! The mala chicken karaage seriously mind blowing! Chicken is tender and juicy and the seasoning packs a punch which is also flavourful! It is my must-order whenever I visit this restaurant. Oysters are fresh and plump! Fish and chips has a twist and it surprises me that it goes so well with the mala paste! We enjoyed the live band, but wish that we were given a table further away from the stage as the music was too loud. The band did play 1-2 of our song dedications and that was great.

Dining in at Tipsy Penguin whether for drinks or for a meal is always a delight. Service is impeccable, the entertainment is always on point, and the food is pretty good if I say so myself. Always happy to be back.

Having eaten at the Tipsy Flamingo in Raffles City, we decided to organize a birthday dinner here for my sister and her hubby. Prices were reasonable, and portions were generous, though the food was just mostly okay. They had two starters for $22, and we ordered the honey soy wings and fermented pork belly. The pork belly was tasty and crispy, especially with the mayo, but the chicken had some freezer burn. The seabass with truffle was nice, but was surprisingly a small dish for a main, without any carbs. The crabmeat capellini tasted nice, but the pasta was overcooked and therefore on the soggy side. We had two portions of the cornflake crusted chicken - the chicken did taste again of freezer burn, but this was largely hidden by the lovely sauce. The fries with truffles were delish. They do charge $1 for water, but this is refillable. The iced lemon tea came out of a can, while the Erdinger was okay. Overall, it was an okay meal in a pub like atmosphere, with dark lighting and friendly staff.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was good and reasonably priced. Definitely a keeper.

Some of the food items aren't bad. If you're looking for a place to chit chat then this isn't the place for you.

The chicken wings were good but the truffle fries tasted bad. Overall the place was dark. The music was good and not too loud. The service was decent. No wow and nothing off-putting.

wanted to takeaway food, about half a plate worth of food. the waitress, there was only one waitress on the day i went (20/11), took the plate after asking multiple times if i REALLY wanted to takeaway the food as if to embarrass me. its the first time i was embarrassed at dinner on my birthday. she took the plate and went to her manager, a guy wearing a blue shirt and they both chuckled while pointing at the plate. if your kink is to get embarrassed, feel free to patronize :)

Celebrated my birthday with my family. All the staff joined in to sing me a birthday song. Much appreciated

Food is always good here and it is nice to have a drinking place in the east that you can easily zip over to from home.

Pleasantly surprised that the food was actually really good. Ambience was a little dark, as with all pub cafes. But we had great service from Jason who was attentive and obliging. At one point the light nearest to us went out which made dining rather unpleasant as you couldn’t see what you were eating. I asked for it to be fix, without expecting much, but he really fixed it! The live band was a bonus too. Will be back.. good vibes

Very dark with strong fans and aircon. Food turns cold very fast. The lighting is too dark to dine.

We’ve been to the Tipsy Penguin a few times. Everything was very good and the service was excellent as usual. The steak was very nice. However, the batter of the fish and chips was hard and we had some tummy problems with the oysters. We will go back again but just not order those two.
