The Workbench Bistro

Came here for lunch with friend on a Saturday afternoon and it was almost full house. We had the purple sweet potato latte, which was pretty and quite tasty too, although a tad too sweet as we sipped more. The salted egg wings were delish, but we thought the truffle wagyu beef burger was too salty and the patty crumbled easily. Nonetheless, it was an overall good lunch in a relaxed neighbourhood with pretty good service.

We were delighted to see that the staff did read our request on our preferred seats. Service was great!

The restaurant is not too crowded, food arrived fast enough and we didn’t wait too Long. But the staff didn’t inform of our reservation so if it will be crowed we might not get seats.

Ambience is very cozy. Food is great and meets expectations.

Food was good, overall experience is good. Just that the ventilation shld improve, my hair was oily after the visit. We ordered laksa pasta- seafood was fresh and the pasta is ale denta. The garlic wings a bit too sweet- probably becos of honey. I ordered the waffle too, not too bad, not fluffy enough, it will be good if softer..

The waffles with ice cream and salted egg wings are my all time favourite. Service was prompt and the place is cosy for casual gathering

Nice cafe with good food. Found it a little too dark as I couldn't even tell the colours of my food, but overall still a nice place to chill out.

They have a couple of salted egg dishes which are good and flavourful. Ordered their prawn aglio olio. Disappointed as it's not flavourful and the prawns were not fresh!

Very good. Loved the truffle fries that was served. Friess was fried crispy. The seasoning provided was plently and the ice cream that that have is of top notch.

Food served were quite big portions. Good for sharing actually. The burgers were delicious but the fish and chips were so so only. Location was easy to find and lots of carpark spaces. The restaurant is quite small and a little cramped.

Laksa pasta lacks the taste of laksa. Could be better improved. It was great that it can be reserved via Quandoo as there was a big crowd during lunch hour on a weekday and we saw some people who left after being asked to wait.

Salted egg dishes were great. smoreffles was nice! Place a bit small and cramp, helps to go early or make reservation.

Been coming to The Workbench since they opened and the food never fails to be yummy. Brought a new group of friends this time and they loved the food too. We like it that the place is really cosy and service is fast and good too. Just that the air con is quite strong and it can get quite cold. It can also get quite noisy. But otherwise, we highly recommend this place for their pasta and their salted egg food items! :)

A resturant and a cafe. The foods great ! . The truffle fries were nice. But the ice - cream that they served were really good.

A decent neighbourhood outlet with some seats outside. Most would opt for the seats inside if the day is too hot. Online booking for weekend should include the morning hours since they are open from 10am.

Ma la pasta was great, and their signature waffles were fantastic. Service... needs to buck up.. we felt unwelcomed, despite making reservations, as we were led quite unhappily to our table. If not for being troublesome to move places with kids, I actually thought of walking away from my booking. The waffles then ended the evening on a sweet note..

The mala pasta and the lava beef burger is a must try! Coffee taste pretty good too. Portion is good too so pretty value for money

Nice eating place in the neighbourhood. Fantastic lobster pasta, loved the chicken wings and the service was great! Drinks variety are a little limited though.

Always have a good time sampling their coffee. The service is always friendly and fast Responsive to our requests quickly . Will make another reservation when I go amk again

Nice food n staff were friendly. We had spam fries, mac n cheese, aglio with smoked duck, BBQ pork ribs n crab meat pasta. Good variety of ice cream. Went at dinner n place was crowded, bit too narrow.

Very interesting Asian twist to pasta & burger dishes. Tried the salted egg pasta, which was pleasantly good, and garlic pasta with dark sauce tasted almost like our local char kway teow in a less oily version. Bobo waffle with light battered fried chicken really nice too. Good selection of craft beers in fruity options. Smores waffles in Halloween colours pretty good too. Food served really fast and friendly efficient service. Highly recommended.

They have very courteous staffs, average food. Good ambience and easy to locate.

Location is easy to find. Great place to meet up for mains & dessert. Staffs are friendly. Recommend to make reservation for groups visiting on weekends.

The salted egg chicken wings were simply awesome. The waffles were so soft and delicious. The ambience is perfect for friends who want to catch up and laugh your lungs out.

I ordered the crab meat linguine and the taste is not too bad, they use real crab meat. My gf ordered the Salted Egg Chicken Pasta, the salted egg taste just right, not too blend or too rich. There is no GST and Service Charge. Overall is good
