Anson House, right in Singapore’s central business district along Anson Road has a new place where you can turn back time and enjoy a nostalgic moment away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Wallich is a bar, lounge, and restaurant whose forte is their impressive selection of premium whiskies and wines. Alongside these are great selections of nibbles and mains that, like The Wallich’s concept and decor, span the time between Singapore’s colonial and modern eras.
Had a very satisfying meal there. I was pleasantly very surprise at the quality and the presentaion of the food we get at a place where people would usually hang out for drinks. Staff that attended to us was friendly and helpful. Though she seems to be new but she will make it a point to get us the answers to our questions on the food by checking with the kitchen staff. With the groupon offer, it was a really good deal.
The food is great. The service crew is very attentive also. Great place for a drink and dinning. Will come again if have more offer in the future. Have a great time over time .
Nice place for gathering, decent food , great choice of drinks. wallet friendly prices Decent music , and not being noisy.if only opening hours can be better
Take a break from the busy life of Singapore’s central business district and head
down to The Wallich in Anson House on Anson Road. The Wallich is a grill, bar,
lounge and restaurant in one, a cosy place that is something of a timewarp,
encapsulating Singapore’s colonial era without forgoing the modern flourishes that
discerning drinkers and diners expect. Discerning is the operative word here – you
can’t go past The Wallich is you are a whisky (or whiskey) aficionado. The selection
is global and impressively curated. Wine connoisseurs have a home at The Wallich,
Don’t forget the Wallich’s excellent menus. Snacks and nibbles are a popular accompaniment to the extensive selection of drinks, while the mains – chiefly grillhouse style – will keep your belly happy. The Wallich is a true hangout, with regular events such as trivia nights and acoustic performances making Anson Road a good spot for Singapore’s restless to put up their boots. The Wallich is a welcome haven for nostalgic souls looking to forget, if for a moment, the high-velocity world that Singapore so avidly enshrines.
