ShuKuu Japanese Izakaya

This was our second visit as we were very impressed with the food quality and service. It did not disappoint us!

The team gave us good sake recommendations. Food was served quickly. The ink squid was not oily and I really like the cold ponzu gyu appetitizer.

Half the dishes were way too salty and the rest weren't of particularly good quality either. It's a pity because it's actually a nice place to hang out at.

Overall faultless experience. The beef tongue slices were our favourite.

Specifically informed waiter that we have certain food allergy and ensure food that we ordered do not contain octopus/squid. However, one of the dishes served contained octopus when we ate it and when we checked with another waitress again, she claimed that there was no octopus in it. We asked the waitress to confirm with the Chef and indeed there was octopus in that dish. Manager apologised but damage already done as we have already consumed bits of the octopus. Reminded the manager to be extremely careful when guests have allergy as it can be life-threatening.

Space was a little tight as we were seated close to the kitchen. So there was a little knocking into the staff every few mins for the corner seats. But nothing that the good food and service couldn't make up for!

We were put in the second air con room of the restaurant. The vibes and deco is not as nice as the main room. The food and sake was nice. The food choice was well recommended. However our sake refill took more than 15 min which was not acceptable.

Price is reasonable and service and food are good. Drink service should be faster.

One of mu favourite Japanese places in Singapore. The place has expended so service was quite slow but good. Food takes awhile to be served but the standard remains consistent

Overall food quality is good. The skewers were a little overdone. For the little bday surprise, it was a little disappointing looking but thumbs up for good spirit of their service.

An Izakaya that does not give their patron a choice of sake, precooked yakitori (are you kidding me?) Forgetting orders when there are only three tables at time of ordering, dirty tables and sticky yucky menus. Good luck for those who wants to try the place. Never going back.

Cosy place , really love the Rosti mentai! Sake was recommended by the staffs just have to let them know what you like. Would head back

Ordered experience set. we received all dishes within 2 minutes of ordering and the drink came after 20 minutes and after 5 reminders.

Love the free salad in particular the egg plant and potato salad.

Waiter & waitress are helpfull and cheerful. Willing to let us chose the table. The aircon is strong not like normal Japanese restaurant.
