Proper Indonesian food might not be as well renowned in Singapore as Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Korean – or indeed Indian, Western or Nonya Peranakan – but if anything, that makes a trip to Sari Ratu even more worthwhile. They have a location in Pahang that is easy to reach in the heart of Bugis, and when you get there, you will be met by staff that are excited to see you, and a cuisine that continually excites. Try the paru goreng, the fried beef lung, or the cumi gulai, cuttlefish in gravy. Indonesian food this authentic is not something that can be found every day, so make sure that you take advantage of the offerings available. Reach them by train via Bugis, Lavender or Nicholl Highway: just remember to book a table ahead of time, as they can become busy on occasion.
One of the best indon foods in Singapore. The closest to Indon authenticity in terms of Padang etc. My favourite is the curry chicken and rendang beef!
