Singapore is certainly not short of great restaurants so for one to stand out from the crowd, it has to do something special. Roll Up, we are happy to report, is something special. Serving up quirky Indian-inspired kebab rolls in Boat Quay, every single one is made fresh with a soft flour wrap, onions and lettuce, then doused in a delectable homemade mint sauce. Try ‘fish-ti-cuffs’, generous chunks of fish marinated in yoghurt then charcoaled in the tandoor, or the mutton seekh kebab, traditional minced lamb rolled onto skewers then infused with some secret Mughlai spices. Food was great but the atmosphere was rather awkward initially. Made a reservation but walked into an empty restaurant and one of the staff in the kitchen saw us but did not bother coming out. The in charge (I guess) dropped by after that and he was rather welcoming. Even had a follow up call to gather feedback regarding the food. Would visit again.
