This Duxton Hill restaurant calls itself smart casual, so diners are invited to wear their normal gear, minus the flip flops and shorts – relaxed, yet classy for an evening of French elegance.
Swing by Rhubarb Le Restaurant on Duxton Hill for lunch and try the well-priced three-course menu including items like French yellow chicken with roasted garlic and Vitelotte potatoes, or the saddle of lamb with mustard, carrots and creamed barley. Have a look at the a la carte menu and decide between classics like the foie gras with Grue de Cacao, apricots and almonds, or take the Wagyu ribeye with pickled walnuts and fresh herbs. And don’t forget dessert – the chocolate mousse with berries and vanilla ice cream is simply divine. Reservations are a must for this Duxton Hill restaurant!

The service are OK but not excellent. Ordered the Le Menu for both of us. The chef is kind enough to change the trout to quail for one of us since one of us doesn't eat fish. Unfortunately, one of the trout having a pin bone in it which shouldn't happen in Michelin Starred restaurant. They also mistakenly our main course and the chef refuse to take back the dish and force us to eat the dish. Of course the chef kind enough to make the main course we suppose to order and complimentary us to eat the mistakenly dish. However, forcing us to eat the mistaken dish and refuse to take back the dish is another inappropriate for Michelin Starred Restaurant.
Excellent food and service. Very special evening, one to be remembered for a very long time. So nice to have a meal that lasts the whole evening. Highly recommend Le Menu with expert advice from the staff on wine pairing.
Good set lunch for $42++ indeed live up to its name as a one starred Michelin restaurant. The foie gras and beef ribs were seasoned just right and the use of rhubarb is spot on as the name of the restaurant suggests. Love the cheese as well.
Brilliant food. The Lunch Set Menu was perfect. Flavours explode in your mouth. Great combinations of tastes. Personalised, and not obtrusive service. Dishes really well explained. There's a real pride in this place as to their food and reputation.
I had a lunch of the Surprise menu at Rhubarb last week. It was indeed a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent. They well deserve the Michelin star. I will come back and of course recommend it to others.
Rhubarb exceeded our very high expectations, which were based on the positive feedback on tripadvisor. The food was stunning, the service struck a perfect balance between attentiveness and space, and the restaurant itself had a really pleasant atmosphere. 10/10.
Great food, great cook! The chef is Briton but cook a French cuisine. Totally fabulous. The team is very warm and professional. I definitely recommend this restaurant and not only for special occasion. Looking forward to eating again there
It's not a large place but the coziness just adds to the charm. The food is c'est magnifique!!! Unusual mix of ingredients makes their dishes remarkable and unique. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend it!
Wonderful food, attentive service and innovative dishes. SUPER! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there, and were never rushed from beginning to end of the meal. Great location. Elegant and quiet set-up inside, amidst the bustle of Duxton Hill.
Beautifull dinner, I recommand. Ce jeune établissement est plein de promesses. Le tandem franco-anglais (maître d'hôtel -cuisinier assure une magnifique harmonie. La cuisine est créative la cave recèle de vieilles valeurs. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre soirée.
The food served was fantastic and the stuff service was excellent too. I'd like to go back again:-) my friends were also satisfied with food and they were pretty much interested in coming back for dinner again!
Delightful tasting menu. Perfectly balanced and accommodated so many different taste experiences.combination of ingredients was inspirational and creative. Service was superb - the chef himself took time to come and talk us through some of his creations.
Superb in every regard except the tired and nondescript grey carpet, which reminded me of the filthy floor covering in my office which has been there for 30 years and the company is too tight to replace.
It's a value for money fine-dining restaurant. We paid $48 for a 3 course set lunch. The service was impeccable. We can't ask for more. But no babies or kids below 8 allowed, so, take note!
Fantastic food and service, everyone really went out of their way to make it a great evening. Definitely recommend for a special occasion meal to celebrate. Felt very much like a Michelin star experience in Europe
Excellent place! Small number of tables, dining room open to the kitchen which was surprisingly very quiet, relaxed atmosphere, very good service with detailed explanation of each dish and of course refined food. Great time there.
Food was average, have much better at a non starred resto. Service is pretty slow, with such a long lag between the starters n the mains n then the dessert. We had to leave without having the coffee and tea of petit four ( and they didnt even bother asking us!!! can you believe it? call it a one michelin star restaurant.. -_-) definitely not coming here again. To make things easier for them (as we were 7), we had a special pre organised menu... well certainly didnt help them at all even with this. and the restaurant wasnt even full! Think I only noticed 2-3 other tables...
Service was top notch. The food was really excellent and for the price you pay, the portions were definitely up to par with expectations. Good selection of wine to suit most budget. Will definitely be returning
Excellent service, lovely restaurant. Great food, good value lunch menu. The starters were really creative and delicious, main courses were simple and elegant. Rhubarb was generous in their offerings of amuse bouche and petit fours too.
Lunch was perfect. We tried the chef special and it was absolutely delicious and because it was a friend's birthday, we even had a birthday treat. Service was impeccable and the ambience intimate and unpretentious.
Fantastic food and great service. The ambience is really nice. Went to Rhubarb for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. Restaurant manger Jerome was very attentive and arranged to have 'happy birthday' written on his dessert plate.
The food and service was excellent as always. Chef Paul always manages to surprise us with his creative use of ingredients that is totally unexpected and yet delicious. Highly recommended and will be back soon.
Amazing restaurant with incredible person service and a word-class tasting menu. Just seven tables so be sure to reserve in advance. Brilliant wine list with many served by the glass (ideal for the tasting menu).
Our dishes came in a variety of textures and each was a combination of tastes that was thoughtfully put together. The interior decoration was simple and aesthetically pleasing. The lunch set we had was worth the price. Overall, a pleasant experience.
Excellent restaurant with impeccable service. Tastes are well balanced and not overpowering yet intriguing. Wine menu and recommendations are extensive and spot on. Cozy place with few tables with a view into the kitchen.
We had a very enjoyable time. Service superb, food fantastic and overall would rate it a six. Definitely a must try while in singapore. Next time we are in singapore we will go back
Overall good food n service is fantastic. Attendance to details, recommendation of food n wine pairing is good. On point though - air con not strong enough maybe due to the open kitchen concept.
The food was good, the service was good and while overall a great first time for us, it would have been perfect if the waiting time between the courses was a little less, 10-15 minutes was a little too long.
Very enjoyable girls lunch. had the lunch set and was very impressed with the quality and technique. Hubby has gone on a separate occasion and tried the Chef's course and was equally impressed
The atmosphere was great - hard to believe there were only 7 tables. Very attentive wait staff; also very friendly with great sense of humour! Food was amazing. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Had the dinner course....Well portioned and every dish was delightful and immaculately served. Service was prompt but not rushed. The recommendation on the wine was also excellent. Overall an enjoyable dining experience...Highly recommended.
Prawn tartar and French quail were superb! I wasn't so impressed with lychee jelly thing and other petit fours at the end. Overall, the ambience and the service were great, so I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
Tucked away on Duxton Hill. Incredible food and immaculate service - very imaginative, yet classic food. Perfect for a wedding anniversary dinner. We couldn't recommend it highly enough. Excellent and worth visiting.
Excellent service and food on the uptrend. Maitre d very friendly. Wine list was superb. Some hits and misses with the mains, mainly due to combination of ingredients but execution was good
Food was good but not surprising. Service was excellent. The red wine recommended was exceptional. The most memorable dish was the airy whipped potato which was the side dish for my veal.
A very interesting boutique restaurant serving French cuisine with a Michelin Star quality. The set lunch price is very reasonable and affordable. The total experience is fantastic: excellent foods, service and ambience.
Overall it was amazing. Very surprise by the food quality. I like the selections on the menu. It's not too much but also not too little. Very easy to make decision on what to have for the meal.
Did the 3 course meal. Excellent variety of ingredients, good value for money and perfect for a weekday lunch meeting. Service was great as well, loved the free flow freshly baked bread. Need an excuse to visit again.
Its a fantastic nice and cosy place with superb food. We really enjoyed and will certainly come back! But be sure to bring a sweater orso... it is quite cold inside!
We had the le menu, foods are really excellent, portion wise just nice, service of the manager is very good, introduce us a good white wine to pair with our foods.
Excellent food and service. We celebrated our birthday at rhubarb and the Resturant went the extra mile with presenting us with well wishes and a beautiful plate of petit fours.
EXCEPTIONAL The very best we have experienced in terms of food, service, ambient and price. The entire experience was exceptional. We shall be returning whenever we are visiting Singapore again.
... modest restaurant but an intimate atmosphere, great wine list, individual attention paid to every guest and every dish. Excellent cuisine - Well deserves (at least ) 1 Michelin star.
A cosy and intimate restaurant, great for conversation. Came here for lunch, the service is excellent and so is the food. The set lunch is good value. Will be back!!
Had a memorable and wonderful dinner. Nice ambience. Their service was immaculate. Food quality, taste presentation was excellent. Definitely going to be back again and my list of favorite restaurant.
Amazing food, really. And great service too. We took the menu, and it really worth the money! The glasses of wine we took with it were also very high quality.
Incredible. The food was wonderful and really good value. Would definitely recommend - it's by far the best restaurant we've eaten at in Singapore (and we've tried a few!)
Fantastic lunch set with high quality food and service. Chef was very warm and friendly too! Highly recommend to reserve a seat early as the restaurant is relatively small.
super food, wine & service!! nothing to complain about. If they implement one or two days of BYO, they will see me coming every week!! with more wine buddies
So good! I really like it!! Good service with beautiful plating!! I will visit there again very soon!! I would like to go there more and more to try!!
