Nice cute and quaint restaurant by the water. Food is clean and portions are a decent size. The wine list is also very reasonably priced. 2nd time, 1st time for dinner - will definitely be back. Service is also A+.
Are you looking for fine french food at the heart of Singapore? And you are afraid of the price? Well... you just found the right place to go then! Reasonable price, for fantastic fine french food.... by the river! On a side note... fine food at this place does NOT mean small samples of food, but healthy portions!
A great restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or to take visitors, located by the Singapore River. Excellent service, delicious food and intimate ambience. We all enjoyed the weekend executive lunch.
Bringing his passion to Restaurant Absinthe, chef Alexis Knecht, and his kitchen crew are enthusiastic about sharing their artistry with Singapore’s foodies, casual diners and Francophiles. And with Vincent Jaureguiberry managing the restaurant, a sommelier and expert in all things French, diners are in capable hands. Featuring gorgeous light fixtures, sleek white tablecloths and absinthe-green furnishings, the restaurant boasts an interior that’s upscale and charming. Additionally, Absinthe on Singapore’s Boat Quay features numerous options for private hire, including three distinctly decorated rooms (the Salon Room, the Mitjaville Room, and the Boudoir Room) with varying capacities. The entire main dining room can also be hired out with seating for up to 60 guests, along with the Alfresco Terrace and the coveted Chef’s Table. Simply speak with the restaurant’s management for more information.
Utilising seasonal ingredients and only the freshest seafood, Restaurant Absinthe on Boat Quay is committed to providing excellent French cuisine in a chic atmosphere. Begin with some foi gras with terrine, onion chutney and brioche bread or the lobster bisque scented with cognac. Choose from mains like homemade duck confit and rabbit with mustard, tagliatelle pasta and vegetables. Some of chef Alexis’ most beloved dishes include the roasted black cod with crushed potato chorizo and grilled asparagus, and the souffle with glace mandarin, honey and orange crisps for dessert. Vegetarian? Order the ravioles de Royan, a decadent specialty consisting of Royan cheese ravioli in a light broth with pesto and citrus. Found on Singapore’s Boat Quay, right on the waterfront, Absinthe is known to fill up, so act wisely and reserve ahead of time.
