Named after one of the trendiest districts in Paris that oozes a village-like appeal, O Batignolles in Club Street is a genuine French delight. Every wine at this nail-bitingly cool wine bar is sourced from one of a small batch of independent suppliers so you know it’s gone from vineyard to glass with nothing but love and attention. In fact, the team at O Batignolles visit their chosen French wineries three times a year to taste and choose the wine they plan to serve in Singapore – quite some dedication, we’re sure you’ll agree. On Gemmill Lane, O Batignolles is terrific before you’ve even got to the food…
There are a few different menus to choose from, the main ones being brunch, a set lunch and the a la carte. Sadly, to list the great things about all of them we’d need a page as long as Paris, but the a la carte consists of French-style tapas best enjoyed with a paired wine, as well as classics that most in Singapore will already know and love. The quiche Lorraine is a delight, as is the duck parmentier and the croque-monsieur. Should you fancy something a little lighter, O Batignolles of Club Street also offers vibrant salads, a long list of gourmet farm cheeses and a few simple yet delicious cold cuts.
