Melt Café is a sophisticated restaurant unmatched in Singapore. Cultures and cuisines collide here at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Raffles Avenue, where a patisserie counter introduces guests to an all-day dining experience and a variety of tempting cuisine stations displays the extensive buffet presentations for which Melt Café has become famous. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the main dining space with natural light, providing an inviting ambience for guests to explore the roast and carving corner, the ever-popular live gourmet stations and the vast spreads of European and Asian cuisine. An outdoor barbecue area lets guests dine alfresco among beautiful lush greenery, while indoors the award-winning pastry chef creates exquisite sweet treats for a fitting finale – pastries are also available for purchase to savour them at home or treat somebody to a great gift.
Known throughout Asia for its luxurious atmosphere and commitment to excellence, Singapore’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel at Marina Square is at the top of its class. Located inside the hotel, Melt shares the same standards for high-quality presentation and service. Its stylish interior design and floor-to-ceiling windows are impressive enough, but the cuisine on offer at this elegant buffet is the true star. Cuisines and cultures from across the entire world mix together, with both European and Asian spreads displaying the wealth of various culinary cultures.
At Melt Cafe at Marina Square, you’re welcome to eat until you’re completely stuffed and feel fancy while doing so. Melt is famous for its chic buffet presentations tempting diners from one live show station to the next, like the roast carving counter and of course the theatrical, award-winning pastry station, where the incredible creations can be purchased to take home. This sophisticated stalwart of Singapore’s Raffles Avenue also has a lovely outdoor area, where lush greenery and the heavenly smoke of barbecue create a gorgeous setting for alfresco dining.
Amazing spread. Just that the lobsters were a tad overdone so became chewy and tough. Didn’t have enough stomach space to try everything so will be back! :)
Lots of food selection. There’s also a grill section outdoor. Remember to save some stomach space for the desserts and waffles with ice cream. Good service. Thumbs up!
Staff was very helpful and kind with suggestions and attentive to our needs
This is a great place for dinner gathering! The ambience is nice and food were tasty. Will definitely recommend future gathering to be here again.
We chose this restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday. She wanted to have a seafood dinner, and as we'd been here before, we decided to come back to enjoy the buffet again. While it was touted to be a seafood buffet (and this description fit the food perfectly), there were other dishes which appealed to everyone at our table. My children were also spoilt for choice with the variety of desserts available. We were also very impressed by the service - our plates were cleared very promptly, and the staff kindly obliged us by helping us to take a group photo, as well as provide a wine recommendation. We will definitely come back to Melt!
The only issue that my guests had was that they were rather disappointed that there was no butter chicken masala as they were expecting it......other than that the staff were great and the service was great....the food was good...though there is always room for improvement but given that it is a buffet....it is better than other places that i have been. Laksa was pretty good...according to my guests.....though they were expecting it to be a little spicier....told them thats why there was the samba on the side.......they got it..... Overall Melt has never disappointed as far as food and service......we will be back...
The range of food selection is impressive. They provide japanese, western, Indian and Chinese cuisine. The seafood is very fresh. The other meats like the roasted beef and tandoori chicken were a little dry. Do note that UOB do not have 20% off and we had a slight disagreement when footing the bill. apparently, the bill cannot be split to utilise the 3 pay while 1 dines free and 15% card promotion (we are a party of 6). The manager managed to clear it up for us, so people that wants to do so got to make it known during reservation. overall, good experience
Nice central location and food is good. Although I ordered from the a la carte menu instead of the dinner buffet, I was served a soup to start with while waiting for the main course to come and after that I was served with a bowl of chocolate ice cream all FOC. Since I also have the dining society card I got a 15% off the bill. If you don't have that card, always check with them if they have any credit card promotion. If you order their buffet, chances are they you can register for their membership card that is free. During your birthday month, you can a free meal from them (e.g lunch or dinner buffet in your birthday month).
There were a lot of empty tables but I couldn't get a table reservation on the morning the day I wanted to go for Sunday lunch. Good thing for Quandoo - they were the only website that somehow allowed a lunch booking. All the other websites would only take dinner reservations. For the restaurant itself - as always, very happy with the food. It was the last day of the Oktoberfest: the sausages were very good. So was the shabu shabu.
There’s a large variety of food and everything tasted good! The staff were professional, friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcomed and valued. Special thanks to Vanessa, who was able to “read our minds” many times and attended to us even before we asked for it (eg giving us the tools for the crab). There was a 15% discount with certain credit cards as well, making the price well worth it!
