Mel's Place

The food was very good. We had char grilled chicken chop, mix grilled pork and molten lava cake. The only area which could have been improved is they need to enforce no smoking in a non-smoking area outdoors.

I had the carbonara pasta yesterday and it was delicious. Staff as usual were very friendly. Good meeting place for friends to have a drink. Cosy and not too noisy.

The food was good, with a very good ambience for a chill night out, not too hot or noisy even outdoors. Service was good with very responsive staff as well.

Have a good range of finger food and main courses. Portions are generous. Value for money. Staff are very pleasant. Nice environment. Valet parking available so no need to worry about parking.

This is the second time I returned to this place. Service is a bit slow but considering that the space is slightly large, I understand that the staff sometimes is not alert to customers' needs. However, the food is good though slightly pricy.

The service was great, staff are attentive and friendly. Only thing for me is the ikan bilis isn't as nice as before. My partner and I have patronised this place for 7 years now so we know how good it once was. Always room for improvement. The salted egg fries are really good though. Will come back again.

I was there on a Friday. As always, staff are friendly and service is good. Live band was good with good vocals and fingerpicking. Would be better if they have more choices for bar food or tapas.

We initially sat outside which was great. We then realized that there was a band playing in the inside area. Everything changed. The band was awesome and the night just got better. Excellent service. Great music. Awesome food.

Food was good. My daughter and I had pasta while my hubby had a steak which he said was cooked to perfection. As usual the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this restaurant for a no fuzz dinner with the family.

The service is slow. The waiter displayed a very annoyed atttitude and expression when we asked for bill and had to cancel our order as we waited too long and left to leave.

Food was pretty good. Happy hour till 8pm everyday was a bonus. Good place for an exciting EPL evening with both indoor and outdoor seats available.

Restaurant more for family, went there to catch f1 but too noisy and couldn't here the sound both indoor and outdoor. Drinks were a bit pricey even though not in CBD area

Overall was good. Staff were friendly too. However one of the staff called and assured me that they will reserve a good indoor seat for me and my friends, but in the end gave the table to someone else. Anyway overall quite a nice place to eat and chill. Service was fast too.

Always loved the enthusiastic and friendly service there, along with the ambience. Menu gets a little pricey, and the food portions could be bigger, but it's always a pleasure to hang out there :)

Steak and eggs was value for money at only $24 for a decent portion. Quality of coffee could definitely be improved.

Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and good food. The large outdoor garden area has comfortable spacious seating and a very enjoyable ambience. Great for a night out with friends.

There is a great open area space in front of the restaurant. Nice and comfortable place for drinking hangout place. Cant wait to visit this place again!

Lovely alfresco place to chill out with friends or a loved one. Wine very reasonable prices as were the beers. Food was excellent - we shared the Japanese salt and pepper squid and the lamb shank. Both were absolutely delicious and the meat literally fell off the bone. We managed to get there for happy hour and had a pint of Tiger at $11 followed by a bottle of Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon at $41 (happy hour price). Really superb place to hang out in - didn't experience the live band but will definitely return to check out more dishes and take advantage of the reasonable drink prices.

I waiter is friendly and attentive to our needs and request. It was a birthday party and the surprise of giving a cake and birthday song is good . Keep it up !
