These days, you have to make your steamboat pretty special to stand out from the crowd in Singapore. Manbok Chinatown have managed to do this by stretching the spread of delicious ingredients usually available and presenting something sitting deliciously between Korean shabu-shabu, Cantonese hotpot and Thai steamboat to go along with their mouthwatering array of Korean grilled BBQ goodies. Whether hankering for a hunk of juicy beef, hunting for a social spot to share some hotpot with pals or hoping to sample some lighter Korean specialties for lunch, you cannot go wrong with this Chinatown restaurant on New Bridge Road. Manbok Chinatown Korean BBQ & Steamboat Buffet is open from late morning ‘til late evening, but it often fills up – best to book a table before you go!
Attentive servers, good service, never failed to impress us. Quality of food is quite reasonable for the price that they are offering. Suitable for group dinner
everything looking good, i hope the reservations works and save us alot of time. Alot of feed back that says the food over there is nice
Meat is fresh and delicious, especially the pork bacon and pork collar. Service is good! Love the vermicelli too. Will definitely go again and recommend friends to this restaurant.
No free beer? varities is a little than expeccted. HOPE MORE SEAFOOD
Was attended immediately once I enter the restaurant n was guided to ny table. Selection of food quite okie but meats were good slightly above average the marinated pork collar was the best juicy n tender, seafoods were fresh especially the prawn and the cooked food chicken wings win our heart very tasty very addictive. The pancake was nice but only get to serve 1 time as they cook on the spot and limited plate. Service was very good they keep changing the char grill to a new grill and clear away empty plates. The ambience okie clean but furniture look old to me. Ventilation okie, restaurant was already full at 8pm, dun really smell strong BBQ smell but still smell of BBQ on your hair n clothes once u get out of the restaurant. Over all we have a great time dining there.
Manbok Chinatown Korean BBQ & Steamboat Restaurant has friendly, helpful and efficient servers. The variety of food is similar to that of other Korean BBQ restaurants but with the inclusion of steamboat, it makes it twice greater! The price for each pax is perfect.
Good and comfortable environment, fresh foods and friendly staff, highly recommended. I would like to give complement to a staff called Mr. Lai, he was very helpful in answering our requests and very prompt in replacing our used BBQ plate to prevent overcooked. The only downside was the lack of towel to cover the bag, bag smells of smoke after the meal. Overall it was a pleasure to have BBQ buffet dinner at Manbok. Thumb up!
Service is great, they are more than willing to change your charred grill. The restaurant has have fume exhaust facilities, I reckon it could be turned up stronger though. BBQ meat tastes great, their cuts are generous and decent for the price range, not the typical low grade meat you have in other eat all you can buffets. Their steamboat selection is lacking though, but who is to complain. If you are visiting Manbok, you are there for the BBQ.
The place was neat and clean. Food wise variety was decent. On the whole a nice experience to have steamboat and BBQ all at the same time. Considering the variety of meats/seafood, I found the price of $27++ rather expensive. There was not much cooked food to complement the BBQ & steamboat except for the chicken wings. THere was suppose to be some pancake but its not being served anymore. But on the whole a pleasant experience.
Generous spread of meats and seafood. Well marinated n tasty when grilled. Veg for d wraps v fresh. Soup for steamboat tastes good even on its own n also as base for army base. Staff were friendly n attentive ... always made sure we had clean grill plates n checked on d fire when it looks too hot n quick to clear away used plates. Will definitely come again
