Located in the bustling Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood, Kam Jia Zhuang has been feeding throngs of hungry locals and visitors since 2003. The hugely popular Tze Char restaurant offers traditional and affordable dishes, with bold twists that make them stand out in Singapore’s restaurant scene. Popular dishes include the Dong Po (pork belly slowly cooked to perfection) and deep fried prawn balls with a pumpkin and butter sauce as well as their wide selection of classic seafood dishes such as chilli crab, salted egg crab and curry fish head. For a well-deserved break from work, the lunch specials are also delicious and a great bang for your buck. Tables fill up fast at Kam Jia Zhuang and walk-ins are rarely available on the weekend, so we recommend booking well in advance.

AMAZING DISHES. Highly recommend the huuuuuge chilli crab for $60+, as well as the pumpkin sauce prawnballs and dong po belly woohoo!! We asked for recommendations and the auntie wasn't pushy, she was very smiley throughout and made us feel so welcomed. Definitely coming back again!
We ordered large portion for all the 6 dishes but it turns out to be still very little serving. Felt that the price we paid for large portion was not worth at all. It was meant for 9 adults. Ended up have to ordered another 2 medium dishes to add on.
