A gem in changi village. We ordered the pork knuckle and it was HUGE. Definitely worth the money plus it was yummy. My 3-year old son totally enjoyed his junior fish and chips. We will be back for more. The staff were friendly and cheerful. A great dinner experience

Nice place serving homecook like food. Great service with no GST and service charges. Ordered the beef stew and spicy curry, both nice and not salty. Will visit again to try the rest of the items in the menu.

Finally managed to try this cosy little restaurant in Changi Village! Been wanting to come here over a year but never managed to get the right timing (they are closed on Sundays), they didn't disappoint. Had the beef stew and lasagne, they were hearty and yummy, if I were to nitpick, I have to say the food was too rich! In local terms.. what we call.. jelat.. which is not necessarily a bad thing :)

The oxtail stew was very tasty but the pork knuckle was too dry. This is my second visit. During my first visit, the pork knuckle tasted much better.

Jacob's Cafe is a great place for any kind of gathering. Its one of the those places that hasnt gone away in time. I remember my father taking me and my cousins to Jacob's back in the 90s. They are still here and they serve honest no fuss good old home style cooked food. Now that I live in the east I visit Jacob's quite regularly. I enjoy the Hainanese mutton stew, baked drumlets and their daily specials are a treat too.

Best Oxtail Stew! Wanted to takeaway the oxtail for my wife to try but instead had ordered beef stew, worry that it may not taste as good but she really likes it very much. Will visit again with my family.

The restaurant definitely has great ambience and service, a nice homely country feel to it. Food was good; the carbonara pasta was really good. Will be back to try other stuff- especially desserts and pork knuckle!

The restaurant is so busy that they do not even have time to refill the empty cup. Maybe they should just give a jug to every table so that customers can fill the water by themselves. Since they don't charge service fee and GST, customer can only treat that as added bonus. Other than that. Can't fault their food and price. Favourite food is their braised pork knuckle which is limited. Worth every penny. Most staff are friendly.

Food was great as usual but I did not get the table that I have requested. I had the impression that my reservation was not received by the restaurant as the service staff looked lost when I mentioned my reservation. Then they scrambled to set the table.

Good & efficient service along with home-style comfort food. Satsfying Hainanese mutton soup was good and positively 'shiok' with the chili paste. Tasty rich cabonara pasta with generous chunks of bacon, ham & mushrooms. As with homestyle cooking, there were shortcomings in minor areas - hardened, inedible sun-dried tomatoes in my son's roast beef sandwich and side of dried dehydrated corn cob in hubby's roast beef main, both from the daily special menu. Both forgivable since the beef itself was good. Will be back and recommendation - try to stick to items from standard main menu.
