About in ITALY Bar Ristorante
Having been all over the world, cooking in countries from Canada to Australia within the last 30 years, Singapore is lucky to now have Chef Mario leading in ITALY Bar Ristorante. With his commitment to perfection and culinary expertise, he has successfully established this Italian eatery as one of the very best in Singapore. Situated on Craig Road in historic Tanjong Pagar, just near the downtown core, it’s the perfect Mediterranean escape after a long day at the office.
Take a look at in ITALY’s set lunch, suckling pig, ladies’ night, and free corkage specials!
Once a haven for Singapore’s Indian and Chinese dock workers, Tanjong Pagar is now one of Singapore’s most fashionable districts. Tucked between the beautiful shop houses on Craig Road, in ITALY is beautifully housed in a historic white and green building. With large communal tables in the centre of the restaurant, guests are encouraged to enjoy their meal Italian-style, that is, communally, and with new friends.
Originally hailing from Milan, Chef Mario brings only the finest ingredients and best selection of recipes to Singapore’s hungry masses. Unique seafood specialties like the cacciucco – a casserole made from lobster, grouper, octopus, mussels, clams, chilli and tomatoes – give diners at in ITALY the chance to sample new flavours not as commonly found in other Italian restaurants. The spaghetti alla SINGAPOREANA pays homage to Chef Mario’s new residence with prawns and chilli, while retaining the essential elements of a classic spaghetti dish. With its prime location on Craig Road in the bustling Tanjong Pajar, it’s essential to make a reservation at this popular Italian eatery.
Went to in ITALY for a girls' night out to take advantage of their amazing $5/glass of Prosecco and we weren't disappointed. The Prosecco was amazing and the food was outstanding. The Real Raspadura (a type of cheese) was delicious and we were given it for free! The focaccia with cheese inside was heaven on a plate. We each (3 of us) had pasta dishes for mains. I had the Chitarra which was nice but I'm always disappointed when I eat pasta in a restaurant as it always seems over cooked. My fellow diners were quite happy with their dishes as well although I can't remember what they had (too much Prosecco I guess). I had the Chocolate & Hazelnut Fondant for dessert and it was also to die for. Despite only having Prosecco I did have a look at the wine list and it looks very reasonably priced. I will definitely be going back again, and again, and again.
I have been going to initaly for more than 2 years. same very good Italian food. This is a place to come back again for sure.
We had the degustation menu and it was awesome! Oooooh and ahhhhs with every bite. Nice friendly ambience and attentive staff. Can't wait to be back :)
Pleasant experience. Good and authentic Italian food worth coming back for
This is our second time in this restaurant but it's our first time to try the Bistecca, which was simply delightful. A big chunk of soft, juicy, succulent Angus, roasted to perfection, melt-in-your mouth texture; paired with the smoothest polenta and the tastiest peperonata we've ever had -- heaven! The last time we had Bistecca this good was in Florence! The tagliatelle bolognese ragu is our favorite -- simple yet rich in flavor. The burrata with prosciutto was firm, creamy and delicious. Without doubt, this restaurant uses only the freshest and best ingredients. Service was prompt, efficient and not intrusive. Not an inexpensive place but it's worth every penny
A night out for inITALY is perfect if you want to celebrate your wedding anniversary. My wife and I did so, and were pleasantly reminded of our good times we had shared during our honeymoon in Italy. The dishes were exquisite; we ordered raspadura (cheese flakes), crudo di pesce (scallops, lobsters, red prawns) and patate schiacciate (crushed potatoes). Tip for you foodies out there: try to arrive between 6 to 7pm to take advantage of the Happy Hour 1-for-1 drinks. Also, Wednesdays are ladies' nights, so your female friends can get one alcoholic drink for a mere $5!
We're a party of six celebrating a birthday and everyone was very pleased with the food, ambience, service. It's not our first time here and we keep coming back specially for special celebrations because we know we will have a fantastic time. The Bistecca here is the best in Singapore, hands-down! Succulent, juicy, melt-in-your mouth, simply heavenly. The Ruccola salad is so simple but so rich in flavors and texture -- we ordered a second one as it is fascinating that a salad can be this good. Simply great food, great service here.
Service was extremely good. The service staff noticed we were still waiting for our mains and took the initiative to let us know it won't be long. The food was good. We noticed same elements were used in several dishes like rosemary as garnish and polenta. Using the same elements gave me the feeling the chef was taking the easy way out.
Great ambience, authentic Italian cuisine. Good quality food that's worth the price. Had the squid ink pasta and quail. Love the taste of both. Must try the quail! Melts in your mouth! And the Lemon soufflé is soft and fluffy. Light and not too sweet! Thumbs up! Only thing is I felt the tables were too close together for comfort.
Great food and ambience. We shared 3 starters featuring burrata cheese and some mussels; our own mains of pasta or steak; gelato and tiramisu for dessert; 2 bottles of Shiraz, some apperitif and coffee after. 7 pax. Had a great time and food was terrific. Just a little pricey but drinks are mostly the culprit. The total bill was SGD740.
