Overlooking Bedok Reservoir, Burp Kitchen & Bar is the place to go for brunch or lunch with a view in Singapore. Combining rustic decor and American and Asian fusion food, this cosy bistro is the perfect place to relax, with its secluded location on Bedok Reservoir Road adding to its appeal. Some of our favourites on the menu include the salted egg wings (crispy fried chicken wings in an egg yolk sauce), the sloppy joe (a grilled cheese sandwich with house-made beef chili, cheddar and mozzarella with a side of creamy tomato basil soup), the beef bulgogi tacos and The Weekender breakfast – a stack of rosti, bacon, sunny side up eggs, sausage and sauteed mushrooms – the perfect way to round off a stroll through the nearby park.
Food is nice. Very good service. The waiter is very polite and helpful. Not crowded in the afternoon. Suitable for friends to meet and chat.
Good food and service. Manageable pricing and various selection available for all groups. Near reservoir with a view. Not noisy as away from main road yet accessible.
Great, good and very tasty food indeed! Under the housing board void deck, reasonable prices with no gst and service charge. Will be back again!
Food was good and nice ambience. Staffs were friendly and we had a great time. January promo via Fb was given and very value for money.
Nice ambience, food is good. Been to this place for more than 2 times. However yesterday I was there and I ordered their house red wine, there were some white small dots/flakes on it and I went to inform the bar. He was nice enough to changed a new cup for me and told me it will be off my bill as I was given a wine taster from another type of wine. When the bill came, I was quite taken back because they still charge me the cost of the wine. Well, maybe he have forgotten to inform the cashier about it. Nevertheless, their services are still good.
This review is based on 2 visits to the restaurant, and I have to say I am quite pleased! Favourite item on the menu would have to be the Burp's Beef and the Nachos with Pulled Pork! My only feedback is that I find the potato chips as a side a little peculiar. Nothing wrong really just that because potato chips are a little dry, it would be great if they came with an additional dip or salsa. Overall, pretty good experience and will definitely come back again!
Food was served a little late but the waitress apologised for the delay. Ordered the grilled shrimp taco. Served with corn chips which was plain and a bit lao hong. Maybe they can change the chips to french fries instead. Nevertheless, the grilled shrimp was superb. It was flavourful and the sweet and salty combination really wowed my socks off. I recommend all of you try it. I gave it a rating of 5/6 for the good food, cheap drinks, friendly waiters and waitress, and for the ambience.
Restaurant was not overly crowded on a Sunday afternoon. My party of 4 were seated on the high tables which were fine. Service was prompt and friendly in general; I thought the food was rather value of money and tasted good though not fantastic. The sales egg yolk chicken wings were good but I thought it was a little pricey at $14. To be fair there were four complete wings so plenty for sharing.
This was my second visit. I had previously came here and had tacos, pasta etc. The food was really not bad. However, the bacon shrimp aglio olio which I ordered today was not up to my expectation. It was quite bland and did not taste like aglio olio, was closer to fry mee. Other than this, the staff service and ambience were great! Worth a visit.
Love the place but the indoor area can be rather smokey. Food is good but would appreciate if they can have different spicier sauces to add on for the tacos. I really like the baju fish & lychee alcoholic drink. Price is nett. I will come again :)
