About Big Sake Bar

Contrary to what its name suggests, Big Sake Bar delivers not only on the booze, but also on its bites, much to the delight of those looking for a convivial spot in central Singapore for lunch, dinner, or after-work drinks. The obvious draw of this Bugis restaurant and bar lies in its extensive list of Japanese sakes, but we must add that its wide array of delicacies is just as impressive. Warm up your belly with an assortment of sushi, sashimi, grilled meats, as well as rice and noodle dishes here, but don’t forget to reserve ahead at this Beach Road gem to snag the best seats.

I cannot praise this place enough. Great food, amazing sake and super friendly yet attentive service. Don’t let the small size of this place fool you. You’d be hard pressed to find a better omakese izakaya menu anywhere. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was good but the kitchen was overwhelmed. It took 3.5 hrs for the meal. The waiting time in between the dishes was unacceptable. Unless they improve, we doubt we will return.
