Set in one of Singapore’s most historic and stunningly beautiful locales, on the northeastern edge of Sembawang a little north of Yishun Town, Beaulieu House is a restaurant specialising in Chinese-style seafood and Western cuisine. Located as it is overlooking the water in Sembawang Park, Beaulieu House is a popular spot for wedding hire, but you can also reserve a table here for casual dining, with the chef’s recommendations including the salt-baked kampong-style chicken and the halal-certified local satay set served with ketupat, onion, cucumber & spicy peanut sauce. From the Western menu, take your pick of Italian pasta dishes, homemade soups, barbecue specials, and grilled beef steaks. If you’d like to dine with a view out over Johore Straits, book a table and find the restaurant at the very end of Beaulieu Road.
Great setting overlooking the Straits of Johor in a historical colonial house. We sat outdoors since it was a nice chilly night. Being a Saturday night, the noise level as expected was higher with the merry makers at the beachfront/park. Service provided was good, including a gentle email informing my wife and I that they do not serve halal food. Food on offer was not disappointing, with prompt preparation and delivery from kitchen to table. The fresh fruit juice was however disappointing, being too bitter.
It was a nice cosy diner experience. My invited guests and I had a wonderful time. Having home cooked style dishes and over-looking the Sembawang beach was awesome! Clean rest rooms was a plus point!
