Man Man Unagi Teppei by Yamato

my friends and i bought a tempura platter to share as well as other main dishes such as ramen and rice bowls. the tempura was crisp on the outside and the prawn was cook nicely. ramen soup was thick and tasty and the futago don gave a nice touch of choices in eating rice bowls. the location was convenient as it was close to the mrt station. will absolutely come back here again for authentic japanese food.

chanced upon this going through facebook as it appeared on my feed and decided to give it a try. the futago don from tora tora was a unique eating experience as i got to choose between 2 different kinds of don beings served side by side, making the variety of taste delicious. did not get to try the other dishes but will definitely come back again to try the man man unagi and ramen.

came here for lunch as it was near my work place. really glad to have a wide variety of choices of food when working in and around the industrial area. not everyday you get to eat a michelin rated restaurant away from town. Unagi was tender and crispy along the edges. actual japanese chef deboning and bbqing the eel which makes the level of authenticity on par with the ones in japan. will definitely be coming back again.

ordered a sashimi boat from Tora Tora for 4 people and was not disappointed. the freshness of the fish is evident by its taste and the man man unagi never fails to trickle our taste buds with its rich sauce and crisp layer of flesh. Its for sure a place worth visiting again and again should one have a craving for Japanese cuisines.

Overall ambience was great. The food came quickly as well. I ordered the unagi and futago. Very satisfied with the food and service. I would definitely come back again!

Perfect place to chill as the location was away from town and parking was free on a Saturday. not as crowded as compare to the city as its situated at Tai Seng. Food was great and outdoor dining means smoking is allowed. The choices of food provided are wide from Donburi to ramen so don't have to go to different place for different kinds of Japanese food but instead all situated in one location. Will definitely come back here again

Was here a few days ago and really enjoyed the experience! If you are looking for a place to chill and hangout while feasting on authentic Japanese cuisines then look no further and head down to this place! The Futago don was especially tasty and the unagi was grilled to perfection, great texture and taste equally as appetising as the don. Location was also convenient as parking was free during lunch and that the MRT is just a 5 min walk. Will definitely come back again for dinner or the weekends for bigger gatherings of friends and families

Tried the chicken teriyaki don the other day and was taken away by the flavours! Thoroughly enjoyed it and was pretty satisfied with the money i paid for the portion and standard. would definitely recommend others to try yamato izakaya due to it selling authentic japanese food located outside of the city!

Great place to hang out after work! Tried man man unagi and was not disappointed! love the decor of the place and the ambience that comes with it. Will come back here again!

Nice and quiet place to enjoy the unagi. I love the unagi top crispy layer and also the fresh wasabi! Will be back again!

Chanced upon this restaurant the other day when searching for places that sell Japanese cuisines and made a reservation. Was not disappointed in the place as the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was great. Ordered a few side dishes from Tora Tora as well as spicy tonkotsu with all toppings from ramen hitoyoshi and was not disappointed by the taste of it. portion was generous and taste was delicious. Would definitely come here again due to the location and standard of the food.

was here with my group of girls the other night and we had quite a fun experience! it was located around an industrial area and far away from the city which makes it less crowded at times. the outdoor dining was perfect when drinking and feasting on the mouth watering Japanese food. Had the Futago don as well an ala cart of the yellow tail cheek to share and it tasted really good. Would definitely come back here again for another gathering and recommend friends to come along!

If you’re looking for a nice quiet area to enjoy excellent food and drinks, this is the place. Easy parking, good service and the best unagi I have ever had. Unagi was perfectly grilled, well seasoned and crispy texture on the edges, other dishes such as the paired Futago Don, Ramen and Chashu don were all packed with flavor as well. Highly recommend for authentic Jap food in the east side of Singapore!

Unagi was great! Sadly unlike what was shown on om the TV and the menu, we're not able to grate the wasabi ourselves. Request for counter seats if you want to watch the preparation and grilling of the eels. Service staff was prompt in refilling tea and clearing table.

Staffs are very helpful and efficient. Food portion is big and we all very enjoys to have dinner at Man Man Unagi Teppei by Yamato Izakaya

good ambiance, not as crowed as the outlet in city. good place for friends to chill out. Unagi rice is up to standard. will come back.

The Unagi is very good esp the kabayaki. However, the rice bowls were mostly average to good. This is our first time dining here but we may return to try the other dishes.

Good experience. Love the food there. Unagi is niceeee! Very convenient and near to our place. Easy to get there. Will definitely come back again.

Quality of unagi was hit and miss. Some pieces were nicely grilled, others were a bit over-burnt. Would come again only because the main store doesn't take reservations and to try out the ramen and dons

The restaurant waitress seems pretty new and not really attentive enough. Food abit salty because after eating the unagi we keep feel like drinking water. Overall good point is no need to queue.

It was a great experience! Much shorter queue than the Tanjong Pagar outlet, with great taste and less crowd. Get to try food from other stalls too

Excellent food and good service! The staff team was very helpful although it the restaurant was very busy. We had a wonderful experience and will be going back.

Meal is lovely as usual. However the wait for unagi food items after ordering is almost an hour as eels had to be caught, killed and grilled.

Excellent food; grilled jus like the one in city. Many choice of Japanese food available. Spacious and good ambience. Good for families and big group gatherings.

Food was good, unagi was great. However, service was lackluster. The 3 sauces that are supposed to come with the meal was not provided and had to be requested. Location is not very accessible as well.

Food was nice however the service there wasn’t really pleasant compared to other outlet. The waitress service are sucks as in I owe her thousand of dollars. Thought here can beat the queue yet the service would make me doesn’t feel like visit this outlet anymore.

The Unagi is quite nice but the service staff attitude is bad and serve customers with a “Black Face”. The food is little pricy too.

Ambience not so much as it's located in the middle of Industrial area and not so cosy as Izakaya. Unagi is signature and nothing to complain but service can be improved

Great place for a date. Do expect some noise though.

The food is good. But service staffs attitude is not up to standard ( on saturday from 2pm to 3pm ). When i raised hand to take order, the female service staff saw but did not acknowledge, simply walk pass me and proceed to wipe another table and do other things before coming to my table go take order. Even before closing at 3.30pm The females staff all changed to slippers,which are very unsightly for the customers. This shows that they dont respect the customers in the store. There wasnt alot of customers in the restaurant yesterday, but the female staff seems quite lethagic and drag their feet while walking. We were served by a male service staff and his promptness and attitude to customer was far more better than. The rest.

The food is nice here, much faster queue. However the Hitsumabushi is not as yummy and succulent as the 1as the first branch though. The ramen was fantastic though! Still overall a great experience!

When we arrived, no one came to serve us. I had a reservation but they didnt bother to check nor is there a table allocated to us. Place is crowded and rowdy. Food is nothing to rave about, you can get about the same standard of unagi anywhere else too.

Food is decent, price is reasonable. Just that the location is not very accessible if you don’t drive. But it’s still Worth a try!!!!! D

Enjoyed not having to queue for a seat. used quandoo to book very easily. Servers were not too attentive. Maybe cos the lighting was dim. Lights could be brighter for alertness n quicker response. Unagi was delicious. Crispy skin n meaty. The unagi sauce a salty tho. Quantity of Unagi was sufficient. Considering the Unagi was freshly caught n grilled, this was money well spent.

We reserved the restaurant easily and parking was easy with slots just right infront of the restaurant. The eel was grilled to perfection- crispy on the outside and not too sweet. My dining companion had wagyu beef tataki. It was tasty and of good quality. the Service was prompt and efficient. It was a pleasant experience.

Overall experience is good. Unagi tasted less fresh than the one at man man but it’s still amazing. Big spacious area to dine at casually and food came by pretty fast. Only gripe is that the waiter team still seem new in their roles as compared to the man man outlet in Tanjong Pagar.

Good food and service! Loved the place because it's not too crowded and parking is easy too. There's quite a bit to choose from the menu as well..

The food is really generous, super big portion and delicious! Very value for money and the service is good too! Would definitely come back again! :)
