This restaurant was closing down in 2 days. There was hardly any staff and most of the dishes were off and yet they were still taking reservations and letting people in as if there was no problem. Like everyone else, I walked out and went elsewhere.

There were items on both the food and beverages menus which were not available Our waitress was inexperienced and not properly trained - not her fault, your’s.

Ambience was good but food was pricier than expected though ingredients used were nothing extraordinary so would prefer other restaurants at this price point.

Great food and a beautiful restaurant. Sat at the bar in front of the open kitchen. Had a nice talk with the chef and even got offered a free dish to taste. All dishes brought me immediately back to Thailand. Wine list could be better.

Have to say they have really good food and services though it can be a little pricey without the use of vouchers. Nonetheless, definitely worth a try.

The experience we had in Long Chim was excellent. The service was generally quick and the food was good. The only problem was that we were seated in the corner, which made getting the attention of staff difficult after we had been served. It took us over 10 minutes to order tea/coffee at the end of the meal. Otherwise, the overall experience was good.

Nice ambience with good staff services. Food is average but the beautiful bay view from our table make up for it. Quiet and cosy place to meet friends for lunch.

The food was quite good, albeit over priced. What tainted the evening was the service staff made constant mistakes with our orders, and although it was rectified, it would have been nice if they tried to make it up to us with a free drink or dessert. After all, they knew we were there celebrating a special event. I probably won’t go back, but if you like Thai food and don’t mind the price, worth consideration.

Total failure in quality of food delivery and well below my expectations from dining at a restaurant by renown chef David Thompson. All credibility lost in my view of what I am accustomed to dining at his previous restaurants that were always outstanding. Shall not be returning.

Food generally are good and is price reasonable . Service is good . It’s worth visiting . Will recommend restaurant to friends and will definitely visit again.

Food was great except for the satay chicken which was like a tenderloin on a stick, and the cocktails were delicious but very weak, we had about 6 and didnt feel a thing. Rest of the dishes were amazing and staff were wonderful.

Great food!! The Pad Thai and the roti banana dessert are absolute must-haves! Service was OK but the drinks list could do with a bit more variety.

Service & food were both very good, especially the larb. Pad Thai is excellent too but price increase to $30 now makes it quite extortionate.

Business lunch. Service was excellent. Friendly and efficient. Food fairly pricey but that wasn’t unexpected. Had the minced basil chicken, papaya salad, morning glory and the omelette. Food generally good but could be a little less salty. Place wasn’t crowded so very nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Close to the best Thai food I have eaten, the service was excellent and I would return in a heartbeat. My very fussy Thai ladyfriend was impressed.

The food was eclectic; infusing a modern twist to traditional Thai cuisine. Price was extremely reasonable. Highly recommended!

The restaurant had fantastic food with an authentic Thai flavour, and wonderful decor. A favourite is the Chiang Mai Larp of chicken which packed a spicy punch.

Great food, service. I cannot fault anything we had. The staff were friendly and informative, wine suited to the meals if a little more expensive than I expected. All in all, would recommend it.

A thoroughly delightful experience and tantalizing flavours to boot! David Thompson never disappoints. A big thank you to the staff who were wonderful to us all but especially my daughter who was celebrating her 9th birthday.

A total let down!!! We use to frequently visit this restaurant once upon a time but the last few occasions it is getting worse. The items listed on the menu (including cocktails) were not available - not just this time but have had the same experience previously. The menu is very ordinary and not much choice (does not justify the prices or the location) pls don’t get deceived by the ambiance - probably good for the tourists!!! This is our last time - the place needs to shut down!!!

Food was tasty and not overly spicy. Service was quick and staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return, especially for the coconut ice cream!

Food good, service excellent (our waitress from Selangor was helpful, alert and efficient). Lovely table with good view of marina bay. Setting was probably intended to be atmospheric but we found it too dark (needed torch for menu for our old eyes) and fussy.

So, back in about 1999, I dined at a place in Potts Point by the name of Darley Street Thai. It was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s nearly 20yrs on, and it’s still my favourite Thai restaurant of all time. It awoke something in me. But the restaurant wasn’t to be, not for the usual reasons of ego or overcapitalisation, but because the Australian owner/chef was appointed as head chef for the Royal Court of the King of Thailand. David Thompson had well and truly arrived. I was smitten. I attended 4 of his cooking classes at the Fish Markets at Pyrmont, and then Nahm at the Halkin Hotel in Chelsea. I bought all of his cookbooks, which having heard him so many times, jumped out of the page with his inflection and tone. He taught me how to make coconut milk from coconuts using nothing more than a meat cleaver and a chux. Quite something. And tonight we dine at Long Chim in Singapore, his latest iteration which already has a Michelin star. The menu doesn’t appear to be his usual high end interpretation, which is perhaps surprising when positioned amongst the Celebrity Restaurants of Marina Bay Sands. No miang. We start with spring rolls and chicken satays. But don’t be fooled. The pastry of the spring rolls is so delicate, and the hand chopped sweet and sour sauce so lovely. Nothing pedestrian here. The satays too are so lush and so infused with flavour. The kids pad Thai chicken is exquisite. Comfort food at its finest. Then the green papaya salad. Cut coarsely, the snake beans and papaya are studded with fresh scuds - they pack quite a punch. Then red duck curry. The underlying prawn paste is so rich and smoky and the oiliness of the duck rounds out the flavours. The bitterness of the round baby eggplant are always cool. Then the larb duck salad. Hold onto your hats - or not. The chef has taken a look at us and judged us as not worthy. No sting of scud, but scattered pieces of ordinary dried long red chilli, sans seeds. This has no heat whatsoever. And no real presence of the usual lime. Actually disappointing. The accompaniment of cucumber, shredded cabbage and snake bean is laughable. Something too about cancelling two dishes from the menu because the paste hasn’t arrived from Thailand. That scares me. That reeks of franchise not freshness. We have an Alsace Gewurtztraminer which is just wonderful. Attractive rose on the front palate, mild acidity, but not flabby as they are prone to be. David Thompson - he’s certainly not an attractive man, indeed he’s been likened to a bantam rooster. But I love him. Indeed after Barack Obama and Adam Gilchrist, he’s the only other gentleman I’d turn for 😜. Sadly he was nowhere to be seen tonight.

It was great time with my family. Fried fish with thai sauce was delicious and interior was nice as well. :-)

Fabulous modern Thai food in a great location and setting. Buzzy atmosphere. Soft shell crab is to die for. We also enjoyed the fish cakes and green chicken curry.

They were out of four menu items, waiter completely forgot my order of soft shell crab stir fry, sea bass was disappointing, and desserts were not very tasty. Overall disappointment. Papaya salad was the highlight and recommended.
