Recently visited Kuan Zhai Xiang Zi, greeted with a vibrant ambiance reminiscent of Chengdu’s old alleys. The mouthwatering Sichuan dishes were aromatic and bold, featuring signature spice-laden classics. The dan dan noodles had just the right kick, and service was friendly. I’ve enjoyed the food. They are yummy and reasonably priced. However, it is disappointing that they have removed their set menu. I hope they will put back the set menu as sometimes when I host clients, I do not want to waste time deciding on what to order!

Overall, the staff are friendly and very helpful. It's a good dining experience however some of the dishes were not served hot. It feels like the dumpling and fried rice have been there for a while before serving to the table.

Brought my family for a reunion dinner. Went in good spirits but we all left sulking. The restaurant required us to 'pre-book' our menu and paid a deposit beforehand which we did. Thinking that this might aid the speed of the food served when we arrived but we waited almost an hour for the first dish, and subsequent dishes also took a long time. We reached at 5.30pm and left around 8.30pm. The dishes were not as tasty as advertised/pictured/imagined.
