Jimmy Monkey - PLQ Parkside

We love going to Jimmy monkey as a family. Big playground next to the cafe, they have face painting as well for the kids on Sunday mornings. Food is quite good as well!

Great place to bring the kids and decent grub, seating is limited so make a reservation or be prepared to wait for a table during the weekend.

I love the fact that it's outdoors so it's excellent in the evening. It's near to a playground and my child can play while we can have our drinks and chill time with friends.

Didn’t know it’s just outdoor seating so wasn’t expecting the heat. Good thing mini fans were provided - not that I needed. Food was pretty decent too!

Restaurant seems to be understaff but customer service still OK. Tables are quite near to each other. Chair will knock against each other if someone get up Food is fairly OK. More suitable for drinking.

Perfect for a big crowd, we had 7 guests and with 5 kids so this was the perfect place! Also has a play area just outside the cafe which was close by so the kids enjoy themselves.

Was there for my son’s bday celebration. Appreciate they gave us the table as requested ie overlooking the playground where the kids had a blast. The staff were not over bearing, was just disappointed that the truffle fries were “sold out” and staff said that they only had enough fries for the main courses. That was rather ridiculous to me considering the fact that fries are such a common food for western eateries and reservations like ours for >10 pax were in at least 3-4 weeks in advance. Not sure what happened with their inventory stock taking.

Still our favourite go-to on weekend brunch/ coffee with our 6yo because it is so child-friendly. It's just right beside a playground and there's something special for the kids between 10 am - 12 pm every weekend - usually either balloon sculpting or glitter tattoos. My son requests to go there all the time. Food is good (love the crispy pork belly) and coffee is great. Do wish there was a larger selection of menu items/ specials to add a bit more variety though.

Today we tried The Hulk and the daily Set lunch, both are impressive and good, together with the nice environment, we will go again this place sometime :)

The food was average and on the higher end, but the restaurant's ambiance created a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.

Convenient location. Good table layout. Staff was helpful. Great food. As we had an afternoon coffee/finger food at 3pm, weather was super humid; some air coolers will come in handy.

Staff are friendly. But I wish we could settle the bill together in the end, instead of paying every time we order more items.

Nice spot with a good variety on the kids menu and a little playground right next to the cafe. It’s a non air conditioned cafe so just note on that but service is good and they give mini fans if you need one! Food is pretty good too

Decent cafe and definitely child friendly. Food is ok...standard nothing wow. Playground near cafe helps keeps kids busy. Overall ambience alittle dark n dim, qld have preferred brighter lighting.

Service is horrible, rude and impatient. Food is overpriced and expensive. Only the prawn aglio is tasty This is an outdoor space with no aircon and no seats comfortable for children with backrest. Toilets are quite far away. Place is only frequented by parents with kids. Highly do not recommend.

food was OK. but we didn't have a good experience with service, even tho there were 1 or 2 other tables of diner. one of the staff reason was that they were short on staff, but we prob wouldn't go back

Perfect hangout for families with kids. we went there on a Sat morning. Food was good enough (no surprises and what you would expect of a brunch menu), coffee is great, and location is fantastic. there's a playground right beside the cafe, and having something special for the kids every weekend between 10am-12 pm. My son loved the balloon sculptor :)

A very pleasant experience. Quiet and breezy place conducive to small talk and quiet reading or just to chill.

Staff were attentive. Ambience was great. Food portions generous. A little bit warm though, we were at the tables nearest the playground. Mini table fans were provided - very thoughtful. But not enough to share with everyone around our table. Diners definitely should bring some insect repellent.

I didn’t realise that it was a non aircon place but the night was cooling after some rain and there were fans around. The service was fine and waiting time for food served was acceptable. The food was tasty but the amount not that large for a pasta dish. The kids meal was also not sizeable. Could be more generous.
