Food was good but place quite small. Overall is ok.

Lovely torched sushi. The miso was good. The sushi were good. Everything tasted delicious. Only the potato salad was ok

It’s my 5th time dining at Gion with family and friends. Love the cosy atmosphere especially and best of all, the food never fail to satisfy my craving. I will certainly recommend Gion to my friends 😉 Looking forward to dine again at Gion real soon.

Its a bit expensive compared to some other restaurant concerning value of food.

Food is fresh and hot! it was a treat for my partner birthday and he rate the food 10/10! we ordered till we are full the brim😅 Quiet and calm place to enjoy over dinner and view of fairylights outside brings a beautiful atmosphere🌸 will come bck soon!

Restaurant is small and cosy but food was good and value for money. They even gave me and my husband a small token in lieu of our anniversary!

Nothing special about this place, it was empty, food is basic, some items on the menu were not available. Won't visit again.

The restaurant was short handed and we waited at least an hour for the third dish to come. By the time they finished serving the last dish to us we were the last customer and they mixed up the don. So when they served us the chirashi don which we ordered, the rice and crabmeat were cold and hard. I guess it was served close to closing and ended up haphazard. However, to add on, the first few dishes were served piping hot and quality was quite good.

Wait staff were pleasant, but clearly couldn't cope. We waited ages just for green tea to be topped-up, even when we had asked no less than four times, having walked & stood at the counter too. Food though decent, took quite a while to be served, with Chawanmushi being replaced with Crab Stick Sushi hahaha! And the dessert claimed to be a Mango Pudding, but it was more like Evaporated Milk Pudding with yellow mush at the bottom. Ultimately though, it was the hefty price tag that convinced me never to return.

Quality and quantity wasn't as good as it was before. Service was not up to the standard as well. Most probably because we bought a meal package voucher from Fave. We had to remind them a few times that a couple of dishes that wasn't send out to the table yet.

Fresh and delicious sashimi platter, bravo. Thank you very much.

Expensive for the quality given specially the beef cubes . At $38 it better be very good beef but it was tough and not well executed. Won’t be going back

Ordered salmon sushi and i am disappointed with the taste as the rice crumbled after i dip it into the sauce and also upon eating, the texture of the rice is dry. And the salmon ontop of the sushi is cut so thinly. Cant barely taste the salmon. Did order the salmon dish ala carte and this taste so good. Not sure why the salmon sushi did not taste good though. Tempura ebi is nice.

Generally, other than the waiting time for the food, service was good. Just a suggestion: Maybe the Restaurant might want to review the Menu and add more Japanese cuisines to make the selection better. :)

Place is not big but cosy enough for our family of 10. Food wise is quite good though it was hard to estimate the portion size.

poor quality for the price. had 2 -plateds of sashimi that was Frozen. not a good experience. can do better with customer service and keep records with customers orders

There was nothing impressive about the food. I had the Beef set and the rice wasnt even japanese rice, it tasted like normal dry rice. Disappointment.

Back for the 2nd time. Brought along 3 friends. Still as pleasant as 1st visit. Nice quiet ambience to chill n eat delicious jap food that was beautifully presented. Staff service was excellent too. Recommended.

The food? Just one word...OISHII..!!!! I was with my family (3 of us) last night (Saturday 05 Jan 2019) and it was our 1st time dining at GION DINING JAPANESE FUSION RESTAURANT. The best part, it is HALAL authentic Japanese and overall, the food, the service and the ambience were AWSOME! And.....the NINJA LAGER...!!! Its non-alcoholic. 2 Thumbs up. Superb..!!! Free flow of Japanese green tea was fabulous. For sure we will be back for more. Hey!!...one more thing..!!! Weekends free parking...a bonus for those who drives, like me. Thank you so much GDJFR for making our 1st impression of your restaurant, lasts....!!!

Wait staff was attentive even though she was the only person on duty that day (1Jan19). Food was quite good and portions were large - good value.

Great, quiet and serene surroundings. Prompt staff, always smiling. Access to a nearby mall, abit of walking from nearest MRT but there is bus service nearby.

Maybe below each menu have a short brief what i will be eating . Most time have to try figure out from the small photo is it fish , chicken or beef . a unique experience .

Pls book before coming as limited seat. Price is slighty on the high and not much variety. Tried their halal beer hmm not my cup of tea.

Food is high quality type. There are set meals for one and two pax which is more worthwhile to order that than ala cart order.

this place overated. the server doesn't know his product knowledge. worst lobster i have eaten not fresh n serve cold. can't even make a decent green tea. overpricing. worst sashimi n sushi. will never come to tis place against. an insult to japanese food.

Pretty standard Japanese fare. The unagi set for 2 came plate after plate with fast serving times and good portions. A bit disappointed with the dessert, but am satisfied with what I paid for.

Good prompt customer service with a smile. Enjoyable meal for 2. Menu is simple but food is good. A nice place for a quiet meal.
