Coq & Balls - Tiong Bahru

Celebrated a friend's birthday there and we all had a decent time. Service was great! We only had drinks and fries so can't comment too much about food but what we had I liked (: it was really warm yesterday night though, the open concept might not be the best.

The beer is good. Location is good. Staff are friendly. Food is so so with limited choices. Overall, still a good place to hang out.

Good ambience, friendly staff and good customer service. Pity the kitchen was closed too early (1020pm) and didn't have the opportunity to try the food.

it was pretty good. the server was kind enough to allow us to order happy hour drinks although we were a couple minutes past eight.

Not a big place but it's definitely a cozy place with a bunch of attentive and friendly staffs. The toffee apple cider is great! The food is quite nice too, it will be even better if the food menu is longer.

Pleasant experience as always. Set in the peaceful and quiet neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru, it's good to go if you don't like to squeeze with others!

Went for the Fish and chips special evening. We all had a great time and even Londoner said that it was quite a good fish and chips.

The mushroom quesadilla was awesome, the tomato salsa was good! Generous portion of fish and chips and its nice too.

Well, went with an anticipation but was disappointed on a few grounds. 1st, selection of food were limited, must on the menu were not available, and the reason given was that they were changing their menu from the next day... No dessert were available. 2nd, the waiter did not take initiative to 'advise' with our order. We ordered a truffle fries and a Luncheon Meat Fries. It turned out that the Luncheon Meat fries was actually Luncheon Meat & Fries!!!!! So we ended up with 2 FULL baskets of Fries!!! I suspect it was either they RAN OUT of fries and not being honest about it or Menu was terribly printed! Terrible. 3rd, only 1 type of House Red left!!!! For a bistro? Only ONE type of Red? I asked for other Options since we are ordering a bottle... But waiter SHUT us off and again claimed changed of menu as excuse! I asked for the new menu wine options to be made available since it is only 2 hours from the 'next day' but were rejected again. Anyway, very inflexible and as a customer, felt rejected so many times. Disappointing in competitive times like this . Honestly I have many options if the restaurant is not interested in holding me back as a customer. Me and my friends (5of us) probably won't go back again.

nice ambience, good food. a pity that they play music when the football match was going on, otherwise it would have been perfect. perhaps u want to consider playing the commentary during big matches. thanks for the service nevertheless!

Nice and a very chic place to hang out with friends. Cosy and the ambiance is very simple and friendly. Good selection of drinks and food.

Nice ambience and good beer promo on weekends. Would recommend friends as a place to hang out and chill. Location is amongst quiet area hence not very packed with people which is preferred.

Service crew barely smiled. Unless you're ok with talking to a wall, do visit and give it a try. Singapore really need to better their service sector and it starts from small

I was there for lunch on a Saturday. Food was good but the service needs some serious improvement. The two young ladies there were so looking so bored and sulked throughout the entire time my party was there. They did not open their mouth, no friendly greeting, no 'thank you' absolutely nothing. One was so busy looking at her phone, she did not even realize a walk-in customer was waiting at the entrance. It seems that the evening service crew is better from what I have read, so maybe I'll drop by in the evening to check it out. They also served the main course before the starters/light bites which we felt was a bit weird. Still the food was good, and that was the saving grace.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The ambience was also super chill. Great place for meets.

Ambience is ordinary, nothing to shout about. Food is ok.

The place is spacious and staffs are friendly too. I have tried the truffle fries, mini wagyu beef burger, sausage platter and sauteed garlic prawn linguine. All are worth trying except that truffle fries need more truffle oil i think coz it taste almost like normal fries. Best if they could serve sauce mixed with truffle oil too (like the one at Switch) haha!

A good chill out place for drinks and causal dining

Food was yummy especially the chicken quesadilla, drinks were great, service was prompt... it was noisy with laughter and cheers, high energy yet relaxing. I will surely return.

Good ambience. Limited choice of food and all a bit fried but quite tasty. Serving staff were attentive. Good choice of beers, ciders and juices.

A nice chillout place on a Friday night! We loved the food and drinks but seats were probably limited.

it is a really nice place for a friends gathering with excellent food. we definitely enjoyed it. will most likely come back again in the future.

food quality was not bad but can have more dessert choices and speed up food serving time. Parking space is also quite a distance away

The atmosphere was excellent and so was the meal, especially the burger and pork skewers. The food and drinks are also reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend it.

Food was not bad,more variety will be good. Service was not too bad, they managed to service us water even when we did not order beer. =)

What a gem of a restaurant! We loved the service and quality of food.
