Chin Huat Live Seafood

Food was good, service was good as well. Price ok. Although was reminded to finish before the next batch, still have ample time to order deserts to complete the meal.

The food is consistently good . Go on a weekday day to avoid the crowd. The weekends are mad house .

1) Waiters are very responsive to customer's orders, excellent service. 2) Food were served promptly but some food were cold. 3) Ordered some red bean desserts but the desserts are cold and dried up. Needs to improve on desserts.

Many many times here, week days seems to be rather quiet compared to week ends, but quality of food and service is still consistently good.

Food was good, ordered the crab beehoon. it was perfectly done. would have gotten a higher rating , but we were just seated beside where the crew dispose off the used cutlery. imagine the frequent clanking and chaos.

Excellent value for lunch and well prepared and tasty seafood, esp the black pepper crab and fish. definitely A place to consider for family gatherings.

The food is tasty and the waiter/ witness are very friendly. They are always full of smiles and forthcoming in giving suggestions when dining in small or big groups.

Cereal prawns were great. Ordered the large, lots to feed 10pax. Coconut dessert was a yummy end to the dinner. Service staff was friendly. Very attentive.

The service is ok but not particularly outstanding. The food is reasonable but nothing to shout about especially not impressed by the crab as the sauce of the crab is nice but the crab doesn't taste that great.

Prawns were legit fresh, pumpkin sauce crab was wonderful, price was slightly steep but still acceptable considering freshness and taste of food served. would recommend it.

Staff was keen to serve. However, being a Sat, there was still delay despite their best efforts. Overall experience was definitely still good, especially after u have been seated.

All the dishes we ordered are delicious and reasonably priced. Crabs are super fresh, sweet and moist. Service was prompt given the fact that the restaurant was very crowded. .. The food was of excellent quality. The service staff were friendly and thoughtful. We will come back again

Seafood is fresh and flavourful. Highly recommend the bamboo clams in garlic and vermicelli, and Crab in pumpkin sauce. Friendly staff. Good for large family gathering.

Food was awesome, the crabs were fresh and definitely value for money. Service was prompt and staff were very helpful. Also, you get a discount when you sign up as a member. (Completely free!) Definitely the place to go for a fuss-free seafood meal.

Was quite disappointed this time on the quality of Alaskan king crab. Other dishes are nice though. Will try again next time and hopefully quality will improve then...

Very good food. Had chilly crab and crispy fish. Reasonable prices. Pleasant setting. Very local. However, the service although pleasant was quite slow. Would return again and recommend it.

This was my 2nd experience dinning in Chin Huat Live Seafood. The staffs are friendly and smiled to you whenever you need their help. The boss was humorous and used his time to interact with the customers. I would recommend this place to my friends & relatives. :)

This is our first time having dinner here! But Wait too long to come to take order! The food A bit expensive ! But food nice!

Diificult to get service from staff .although staff acknowledged but in the end had to walk to cashier counter to get attention . It was not crowded at that time .

Good ambience and always serve up fresh and delicious seafood. Good service as well. Don't forget to order their desserts as it is worth the try.

Too busy to serve, we keep waiting for quite a long time to be served, hope it will be improved when we visit next time.

Last night, I invited my friends who are come from Hong Kong for dinner. Chin Huat is always my default restaurant for my overseas friends for meals. Unlike other standard seafood restaurant, Chin Huat food is unique. However, most of the food (chilli crab, vegetables, prawn in cereal, clam etc) is not hot enough esp. clam. It is very disappointing. Luckily, my favourite beef is still up to the standard - hot & delicious. I hope Chin Huat will look into it. Food not hot enough will adversely affect the food taste & customers' expectations.

Food is good. Seafood is fresh. Service is good. Waitresses are helpful even though they are busy. We were recommended a new dessert - Muah chee. Quality needs to be improved. Overpriced! Not value for money.

Overall experience was good although it was very busy. Free wine dockage but have to pay for water/ tea charge which was ok. Our black pepper dish was short of a leg and they gave us a discount for it.

Price on the high side but service is good. Food is good but not the best. I would go again as I always get what I expect.

The seafood really is alive, and the crabs in particular are very feisty. We had the crab in pumpkin sauce and a deep-fried whole dragon-fish. It was all really good.

Food is great. Food is better than most other So Char store or even the bigger restaurant names. Service could be better though. Good value for money. Will visit again.

Very fresh and well cooked seafood restaurant. As far as I know, the only restaurant in Singapore to serve pumpkin sauce crab, which I love and prefer. It is not an expensive place too, definitely value for money. Restaurant is clean and comfortable although the noise level is a bit too high. Service is quick too. Highly recommended.

The service was really fantastic. They were friendly and helpful. The food was good and came quite fast. We had a huge table that can accommodate 10 adults and 4 children which is not common. Big plus point for me.

Chin Huat is a true standout among the hordes of seafood restaurants in Singapore. First and most importantly, the food is really good. It has the taste of tradition mixed with a dash of modern creativity. But aside from the food, it's the extras that make the difference. The service is sincere, warm and actually homely. The outdoor veranda is classy yet laid back, reminding me of Raffles Hotel's iconic courtyard. The chairs are the most comfortable i've encountered in a local seafood restaurant and the pristine white tablecloths complete the ambiance.

Not bad. Fresh seafood. Crabs were delicious especially the pumpkin salted egg yolk. But service seems a bit rushed for some reason. Would return again in the future.

The food is very good, and the environment is nice too, you will not feel hot even if you sit outdoor. Pepper crab is the must try item.

Food was tasty - prawns and crabs were really fresh! The staff who was serving were definitely friendly and helpful. However, because it's a Saturday, the place was rather crowded and the table I was in wasn't very cosy - right beside cashier and entrance. The person taking the order was in a rush too because of the crowd. Overall, will return again for the food and service.

We ordered Pumpkin sauce crab and black pepper crab. Both were delicious. But I still prefer the pumpkin sauce crab. The braised pork ribs was really nice too.

As usual we had a great seafood meal in Chin huat . Staffs are friendly and food is fresh and never disappoint. Fantastic experience and Super .

Service was very warm and nice, food was splendid. We ordered bamboo clams, braised tofu with dry scallops, seafood horfun and steamed fish in two Chew style. I will definitely come again

It took ages to place the food order. And many items on the menu were not available on weekends which is not mentioned anywhere. Disappointing to say the least

As usual Chin Huat seafood has never disappoint. The basic seafood is very fresh and service staffs though busy tried extremely hard to provide best service to their customers . Positive attitude and friendly environment .

Brilliant service and food. The suckling pig and pumpkin sauce crab were delicious. Service outstanding as always- they are always so helpful in terms of recommending dishes. Really nice ambience indoors too.

Crowded as always, food came quickly but order taking took quite a long time. More suitable for big family gatherings and such like. BYO is ok
