Awesome place for food after work. Staff were very informative and attentive too :) Would definitely return!

Staff were very helpful in describing the various dishes. After we have ordered, the Indian lady suggested maybe we should share the borsch soup instead of ordering one for each, as thefood may be too much for the two of us. As it turned out, the portion was just right and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great service and good food. Good nite out.

was a little quiet imin a Thu evening but liked the casual ambience. good live music! friendly service too. We had a nice time there.

The serving portions were generous. The food was delicious too. They also took the trouble to introduce and explain the dishes to us. We were very satisfied with the service.

The russian food is great. I like the salted herring is great. The dessert is great and the waitress is very helpful. The food portion for bar menu is abit too big portion . My wife and i manage to finish the food as we dont want to waste the food. Overall it is great experience for russian food.

pluses - amazing food, helpful and friendly staff. minuses - despite non-smoking room there is still smoke smell from outside. and prices are a bit high.

Poor selection of Beers. Most not available, the ones which are were not good. No major brands beer. Service was average. Food - only starters tried - were ok for this type restaurant.

The ambiance is nice and the service was good. Food too was well prepared and served quite fast. Did not have to wait too long for food although the beer I ordered took a while.

Serving size was not the most generous but food quality was good and a nice ambience. Would recommend it for Palate dining! Check out the oldest wine for some after dinner convo topics!

Reservation for Buyan was not passed to Buyan on time so had to wait for a table until one was ready. Not happy with the online reservation status. However buyan was brilliant as always

Interesting and unique food choices.. we have tried: - Mimosa Salad: interesting.. - Borscht: beef cubes has a mild smell.. would be perfect if there isn't.. - Shashlyk: delicious sauce.. lamb has a mild smell.. would be great if there isn't.. - Beef Stroganov: yummy sauce.. tender beef.. perfect.. loving it..

Re-stock items on Monday? Brought my European and Mexican friends there and there were limited options on Tuesday, they were really sad :( but they all agreed the food was awesome, keep it up!! :D

Food menu was authentic, delicious, diverse,, but not so much that you got lost in the choices. Great cocktails and choice of Vodka with very personal service. Will definitely be coming again!

very friendly and good bar to hang out with friends, can recommend to my office co-workers especially after office hours and Friday night, with the live band and staffs that can recommend nice drinks and foods to suit our palates.

The restaurant is great, food is nice, service is excellent. HOWEVER, Quandoo messed up my reservation! Quandoo DID NOT reserve a table for me, and I recieved call from another restaurant instead!

Great drinks, average food. Try their Buyan mule and caviar but avoid the mains which are overpriced and not really particularly tasty. Interesting dessert selections too

The restaurant wasn't crowded as we went on a Tuesday night. The ambience was great and the staff were very friendly and attentive. You know how some restaurants aren't packed but their staff just stand around and do nothing. This is not that kind of restaurant. They were attentive and cleared our table, filled our water without us asking. I had wanted to order a dessert cake beforehand and asked for a candle to be arranged. To my pleasant surprise, the staff told me that the restaurant provides a complimentary slice of cake for birthday celebration and that she would bring the cake out with a candle on my cue. How sweet! When we left, the staff wished my bf happy birthday again. The only issue I had was the portions were small for the price but the food were not bad for a first-timer trying Russian cuisine. Will definitely come back again, and maybe order a more expensive caviar to try.

Food ordered tasted good and uniquely Russian! Ambience was a little loud due pub frontage and would prefer seated inside. Service prompt and helpful. Overall good

Not exactly value for money, even with the Palate card. The portion is small, compared to the amount charged. The clear cabbage soup is not recommended, taste like it was made from packet stock. The Shashlyk is good though i would recommend that you order only the lamb and chicken.

Excellent food. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was tasty and pretty authentic Russian. Highly recommend this as a good place to eat. In particular, the "Happy Hour" menu was excellent value-for-money!

Servings looked tiny but they were rather filling. Buyan sprat bites - smoked fish on toasted rye bread - were crispy and savory, Zharkoye was a classic beef and potato stew, rich and chock full of ingredients. The pastry lid was a nice touch. The Ryba v Gorshochke, seabass and potato in cream sauce was yummy and generous with the fish but personally I would find a full serving too cloying to finish; it's good for sharing.

Very nice food & service. Will recommend. Inferior is all wood paneled so can be a bit dark. An extensive wine list. The house pour is good.

Service good but food was only ok. Dining room not open so sat in the bar area, very casual and because it was close to the speaker, not easy to talk. Appetizers were good (Borsch and vareniki dumplings). Main of beef stroganoff too salty but not enough pepper.

Being a Russian myself, I was hoping to get a taste of home. But the food was disappointing: kvas was flat, solyanka didn't have any vegetables apart from onion and didn't taste intense as it should, soleniya had marinated cucumbers instead of salted ones (?!)... Beef Stroganoff was good. I would have given it a 2 but the quality of their service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Nice dining atmosphere as there wasn't many customers around on a weekday. Food is interesting and good overall. Serving staff was helpful with recommendations though pricey. Good experience, worth a try.

Service abit slow despite ours being the only table during lunch hour. Menu variety is good. Set lunch isvalue for money.

Service and ambience was fantsstic! Live band was a plus. Food was ok, not to bad.

Friendly staff attends to you. I'm very amused by the boss/manager as he does his best to make conversation with customers yet not overdoing it that it would interrupt our meal time. Menu is on an iPad under the books App. They have a 2 page selection of Vodka if you're a fan and affordable Caviar is also on the list. I love the food but I believe dessert could be done better.

The service was great, the waiter patiencely explained each item on the menu. The salmon was very nicely done and we had 2 servings. Atmosphere was warm with good live band, perfected with Russian brew. Recommended to friends.

I never knew Russian cuisine is so delicious. They had a set dinner menu and we all ordered different sets to try the food. All good and of course good premium vodka!
