The quality of foods slightly changed if compare to the first time I went to this restaurant. Overall is satisfied and hopefully the restaurant/chef could bring back the taste that I had last time.
I highly recommend the octopus, which was grilled to a tender texture and the sauted prawns, which was flavourful. Their house red wine was delicious too!
Amazing food and service. Great atmosphere. Daniel, the Portuguese owner, makes you feel very welcome. Felt like we were having lunch at a friend's house. Will go back many times for sure.
The food was good, especially love the portugese egg tarts and deep fried cod fritters. Ambience of the restaurant was cosy as well, great for gatherings.
Great food, amazing service, and beautiful location! Everything we ordered was fantastic. We keep coming back to Boca for special dinners, or any reason actually. Highly recommended!
Love the selection of authentic Portuguese cuisine! Great service from very attentive staff who gave great recommendations. Go for the traditional codfish fritters, meat platter, white wine clams and scrumptious egg tarts! Will definitely return again :)
Nice wall mural of famous persons/landmarks from Portugal. Boss was friendly and had good recommendations. Overall, food was above average, but a tad bit expensive.
A real authentic mediterranean cuisine ! Not pretentious at all and explosions of savour in our mouth! We are french and we had a blast to find family cuisine in Singapore ! We Absolutely recommend this place. Please try the clams with the white wine, the octopus starter and so many dishes...
Service very nice, owner friendly but we just didnt like the food at alll. A bit overpriced and lunch set meals very limited. Not a place we would go back.
Food is good. We like the clam starter and the seafood stew. Price on high side. Still water is charged; tap water could be provided free.
Staff does not seemed to know what they are doing. An example - we were given new glasses when we requested them to serve our 2nd bottle of wine. That is nice but they only brought the glasses and not the wine. Our bottle of wine was only brought to us after repeated requests. More importantly, all the dishes we ordered (steak, stew, lamb, pawns, cod etc. ) were cold when it was served to us! Last but not least, it was stated on Boca's instagram that there will be a 10 pct discount for all ala carte orders on Dec. 9. The discount was not reflected on our bill and they only gave it to us when we pointed it out to them. We were looking forward to having some Portuguese food and we were pretty disappointed with the overall experience.
We got a nice place upstairs. Good selection of starters, our choice was Salada de Polvo. Also the mains Bacalhau a bras and Espetada Madeirense were very delicious. Very good red wine from Monte de Zambujeiro. The Mousse de chocolate was a bit too sweet with some cubes of chocolate dough in it, we didn’t like so much. The staff was very friendly, good service.
My 2nd visit to Boca. 1st visit was excellent because the pork cheek is just so wonderful. However was told that it was removed in my 2nd visit hence tried Clams in white sauce with additional order of sweet potato bread which were really good match. Love it as much as pork cheek. Other dishes that I ordered were not to my liking but it is more of a preference.
Great service, awesome authentic Portuguese food! Would love to come back again:) Portuguese egg tart it's a must to order, it melts in your mouth!
I love the tarts a lot and the bread was very tasty. Meat platter is value for money and good portion to share with friends and family
Nice food, quiet 2nd floor for nice and cosy gathering with friends. Would like to try out other dishes, drinks and desserts for future visits.
really a pearl in Singapore's F&B world! Great food, great ambience and the staff is excellent!! Also teh suggested wine was very good... and the egg tart.... amazing!!! Well done guys!!
The food is very tasty and authentic. The service is quite attentive except for that stinky cloth with a stench, which they used to wipe our table. The seafood is fresh and tender in those casseroles with fantastic soup stock and rice.
Quiet ambience, prompt service , friendly staff. Good for business lunch . If they have a more wallet friendly lunch set , would consider returning again
Overall super-attentive staff (Danesh is his name) and of the owner (Daniel Alvies) came by our table a few times to chat up with us. Food was awesome !!! (Clients and bosses were thrilled) - my 1st time here however I have Portuguese clients with me hence it was smooth. A definite RETURN to BOCA on my own leisure dinner/lunch.
My wife and I had a very nice dinner at Boca. The serving staff was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable of the food. Her recommendation was spot on. Highly recommended!
Good food spoiled by the worst service and most incompetent waiting staff I have ever encountered in Singapore. What a terrible shame and sadly I won't be returning anytime soon.
Great food and wine. Lovely decor. Really attentive waitress/bar staff who made my little boy a fresh lemonade when he said he was a bit worried Sprite was unhealthy - we told him not to be fussy but she listened to him. Impressive. The Portuguese tarts were to die for.....perfect.
I was being told by my partner that the food they serves are authentic and made him feel like home. The food is too salty for my taste but that's Portuguese food the dish is packed with tastes and a bit heavy... make sure you come hungry. If you are planning to go out after dinner I suggest that you order a few starters rather than going all the way for 3 course meal. The fish fritters is amazing, I love the octopus rice and you need to complete the experience with a glass of vino verde a mild sparkling white wine. Refreshing ~ Enjoy
Terrible service. Relegated to the bar even though we had a reservation. Chorizo was supposed to be flamed but the waitress forgot to flame it, leaving it cold.
Booking was not received by restaurant, fortunately there was still available tables but seating Given not ideal as was directly under air conditioner. Food generally was ok.
Cosy environment; food is uniquely different and interestingly flavorful. Had lunch so could not accompany food with wine. Waiter is very friendly. All the dishes we ordered were enjoyed.
Very good food and pricing is correct. The wine was not so great and the waiting time a bit Long (I think they messed up our order) but overall the owner was nice, we will come back!
Cosy place that sits about 20 ple yet is not noisy so you have good conversations with your friends. Went for dinner and ordered sauteed pork cheeks (highly recommended), cured codfish (suggest for sharing rather than to have this dish for 1 person) and Portuguese egg tarts! The egg tarts were more custard-y than egg-y, so it is up to one's preference. I like it but my friend didn't. Need to be a bit patient in waiting for the food, so if you are hungry suggest that you order starters or bread. Price wise, about $40-50/pax. Very friendly staff, would definitely come again!
