Fried chicken’s all the rage in Singapore’s Korean restaurants
Chances are, you’re probably already familiar with the gloriousness that is Korean fried chicken. If not, allow us to introduce you. Crispy, perfectly juicy and as spicy as you want it to be, these chicken wings pack an extra punch. Unlike American-style chicken wings, Korean fried chicken is actually fried twice, giving it an even crispier crust. You can usually order it with or without the bone – take the sunsal chikin if you prefer yours boneless – and decide from an array of sauces ranging from mild to super hot. We recommend going for one of the sweet and spicy sauces, which usually feature a base of gochujang, a special Korean chilli paste that has its own unique flavour. Not sure if you need all that heat? Have the best of both worlds and order yours banban, which means you’ll get half of your chicken covered in sauce, and the other half plain.
