Singapore’s wine bars focus on more than just wine
So we already know that wine is a food group of its own; but what about those times when you need some other form of sustenance to accompany your glasses, carafes or bottles of glorious grape juice? Serious wine drinkers will be glad to discover that most wine bars in Singapore have food menus that are nearly as long as their wine lists. At a Spanish tapas and wine bar, you might find chefs serving up plates of crispy patatas bravas drizzled in garlic and chilli sauce, fried calamari rings, or serrano ham and manchego croquettes. If you’re at a French wine bar in Singapore, you can expect dishes like steak tartare, generous charcuterie plates heaped high with vegetables, cheese and cured meats, or pots of pâté served with crusty, fresh baguettes. At other wine bars across Singapore, there are even Asian fusion bar snacks, sliders, and much more filling treats.
